if the controls are like that then to me that's ultimate footie game. One thing I hate about PES/FIFA is how the players without the ball move around, they don't exploit the open spaces sometimes don't make any runs, so you gotta hold the ball and wait for the damn AI to react, and once it does the opposition will have probably close down all the available space.XiaNaphryz said:The Wii version of PES uses RTS style pointer controls to let you move multiple players at once. So you can set up certain guys to make runs and clear space and then move someone else into that space while you control the player with the ball with the analog stick, then point exactly where you want the pass to be into that open space with whatever lead distance you want.

Why more sports games aren't trying to think of alternate controls like this is baffling, seeing as how this has been done for PES Wii a few years now.

Does PES PC have the Wii-style control scheme? Seems like an obvious thing to implement with a mouse.Haunted said:WC 2010 for PS360 will probably give you the best WC atmosphere.
For the best footy sim, take PES PC.
For the best footy simcade game, take FIFA 10 Wii.
For the best footy arcade game, take Mario Strikers Charged.

Someone last page mentioned PES accomplishes this quite well, but it sounds like FIFA is the better game...

Bungieware said:Fifa is the better game. I've played the full versions of both games for the 6-7 years, and swapped between both as I see fit, and right now Fifa is where it's at. My past allegiances:
PES3 (PS2)
PES4 (PS2)
PES5 (PS2)
PES6 (PS2)
Fifa 08 (PS3/360)
Fifa 09 (PS3/360)
Fifa 10 (PS3/360)
A lot of people seem to refuse to switch between the two, regardless of how much better one is than the other. "FIFA is shit", "PES is shit" "rah rah rah". But that's not a problem for me. I play whichever game I think is the best.
To summarise the recent versions of both games; Fifa is more of a footballing sim and whereas PES is more 'arcadey'. Fifa has better stadium, more team, better graphics, better sound, better online, better/more game modes, more realistic gameplay. PES has better player faces, better customisation, better Master League/manager mode, arcade style gameplay.

SamuraiX- said:I'm hearing good arguments on all sides. Wouldn't you agree that the best way for me to decide would be to sample each of the games myself? I might have more questions later even after I played them. I can't believe that I completely forgot about the PlayStation Store though. :lol
Damn son, you need a better pair of eyes! :lol But seriously though, WC2010 is all you need right now, enough to tide you over till the new footie games (from both Konami and EA) come out.SamuraiX- said:So after playing all the demos...
PES 2010
- Animations feel about the same as FIFA 10.

Does world cup 2010 includes clubs ? euro2008 didn't had clubs, kinda disappointing.
