There are plenty of counters to Morr/Doom trap.

People aren't picking teams for it.

Herp Derp rushdown is being shown it is not nearly as strong as thought. Calculated rushdown, yeah stupid.

So what you're saying is, because Chris G places consistently @ Big Two, there isn't a hard counter to Morrigan/Doom? This doesn't even register for me. I've said it in the last weekly thread and I'll say it again in this thread. Watching Morrigan play is akin to watching high level Sim play in SF4. As long as they don't do something unsafe and play their keepaway it's insane to get in on them. But once you've gotten in on them once, they're usually dead, this is especially true in Marvel where 80% of the cast die in one combo literally.

It's not theory. I've been to enough tournaments and played enough people to have some pretty good evidence that Hawkeye/Taskmaster beats down keepaway Morrigan/Doom pretty badly. But I haven't exactly played anyone of Chris G's caliber.
 
Serious question.. how much damage does Wesker's Level 3 do with glasses off?

I never fail to be surprised at how much fucking damage it does.

At this point I watch Big Two like once every other week for Spooky and Rush Hour. It's sad that I couldn't care less about the game play. It's like the same ass shit every week. In AE it's Dieminon winning, and in Marvel it's Chris G. There's like no progress from any of the other players.

At least with WNF/TRB you got a handful of guys that can possibly win. In AE it can be Online Tony, Valle, Hugo101, Snake Eyez, or someone like Justin when he does come.

In Marvel you have guys like Wentinel winning, Infirit, Combofiend, Fanatiq, and Justin.

Not to mention other top players that show up like Mike Ross, Marn, Clakey, and Floe.

yeah i figure hawk/task would do pretty well. call in taskmaster assist at all the times to catch doom and catch morrigan with hawk's air arrows. this is usually the strategy i use when playing many people with doom assist. just have either task or hawk's assist shooting arrows at all times and never let doom shoot all of his missiles and hyper his ass whenever possible. in the end though it would all depends on who has the better timing.
 
I'm mad that I missed a lot of Mahvel action on Spooky's stream today...

I haven't watched Big Two that much until Mahvel was moved to Thursday Runbacks. I have more time to catch Big Two now, but I'm so new to all of it that I can still enjoy it. I can see how it can get tiring after seeing the same faces at top 3/4 for a year.

Yeah, I absolutely loved watching WNF, but it was freaking late as hell. It's easier on me now that Mahvel is moved to Thursdays. I'm more well rested after Big Two on Wednesdays which is pretty much a day before.
