Edit: Lol, Amiyu beat three people to rescue his team from death. I'm pretty sure Banbaban is the anchor for his team.

How did you purchase it so easily Mark? Neither me or Kadey could get it, but I finally got it after going through USD's friend. I keep hearing about "Verfied by Visa". Did that do the trick for you?

And with all this stick talk, are the american-style parts more durable and resistant to abuse? I know I was beating the hell out of my first J-style arcade stick (thank god it was a cheap second-hand hori) before I made an adjustment, even though I didn't spend that much time in US arcades either.
I don't know how badly people beat up the equipment in Japanese Arcades, but Sanwa parts seem pretty fragile considering their intended use.

Argh. Should've bought access to the Topanga league stream, but probably wouldn't be able to watch much. Updates much appreciated.

Which series made after gundam wing are worth watching? (In Your Opinion)
The only thing I've seen that was made after Gundam Wing was G Gundam, and it was only OK.
Also guys, should I buy the DLC characters for SFxT? I've been holding off because I absolutely hate the anti-consumerist on-disc approach Capcom took with SFxT.
I'm thinking about getting back into SFxT and I haven't played it since the 2013 update.

You don't have to buy them I think it's totally optional. Out of interest did you buy the KoFXIII characters?
Try playing without DLC first, see if you like the overall changes, then make up your mind.

That's so crazy. I want to see how he handled Gamerbee so well. Is it just a bad matchup, or was sako just amazing?

Ah, found it. USD posted the results on SRK. Amiyu is too godlike.
I don't like very much of what came after. X is terrible, Turn A's designs are not good, etc. I don't know anything about Victory or the current TV series. What I saw of SEED I hated.
Unicorn, though, is freaking fantastic. You can (or used to be able to) rent subtitled episodes through PSN, and if you've been following the Universal Century story (or at least watched Char's Counterattack) it's even better. Great designs from Hajime Katoki, who is a god among men.

Definitely play first before jumping back into it. Also, see if any of the DLC characters would interest you. You don't need it if you don't play any of them but it'd be nice to learn them for to know what they're capable of.

Thanks guys, I'll play a bit with the update this weekend and see how I like it.
There were a few DLC characters that looked interesting to me. Also it won't really cost me anything since I got enough to pay for the DLC characters by selling my CW Arrow costume for Injustice.
I love how much people will pay for exclusive/Preorder DLC, no matter how small the DLC is.

Yeah. I think if Infiltration really wanted to raise his stock even higher, he should have joined. Instead of short sets in randomized brackets, you are playing long sets against legendary players. I mean, he's turning down $10k here, that's a good enough incentive to win besides his status quo.

Although Sako won by a landslide, some of the matches went down to the wire with Sako clutching it out. I think I remember the first one he traded with Ibuki's up kick, then followed it up with up kick into super. That was a pretty fucking sweet way to end the match.

Does this league collide with upcoming US majors ?
If so I can see why he would rather fly for a weekend and body some american players, collect that easy pot money + bonus rather than be in a ~2-3months(?) tournament playing long sets with Daigo, Fuudo and Xiao Hai.
Although I think he by far would benefit the most from such a format since there is no other player as good as him when it comes to recognizing patterns and "downloading" other player's tendencies, even if he doesn't win it would still be a good research for EVO.
