laugh mashing so hard. Wakeup jab? okay

He's doing it to get frame advantage because he believes Alioune will block after his own dive kick gets blocked. Alioune is probably blocking because he's afraid of being DP'd right after a blocked dive kick. This is why you see players like Kazunoko doing wake up jabs because people are afraid he's going to just do it and want to block and punish. But the mind game goes both ways and the guy may not do what you think they might do.

Don't see anyone on the couch beating him at this point.

It's Mirror matches (which Alioune created all the tech for), Ryan Hart, and Xian who he's beaten before.

So they invited all these Cammy's and didn't bother inviting the Cammy killer from the previous season, Tokido. Wish they could have gotten Sako, his Evil Ryu would put all these Cammy's on unblockables all day.

Why was Laugh even in this? He is not up to the caliber of the other players.

He's far better than Mike Ross and Filipino Champ who were there last time. He's also better than Chi Rithy

He lost to the only good Cammy player, there's nothing wrong with that

I agree that F champ was by far the weakest link last season, and Mike Ross is pretty weak too, but those people are personalities at least, Laugh is just kinda ass with no personality.

I wish Sanford didn't get put up against Infiltration right at the start. I would have really liked to see him against Xian and Ryan Hart

A lot of people don't understand end game P4U since they abandoned that thought when they realized the relative simplicity of the mid level. .
I definitely agree with this. Made it difficult to discuss P4U matchups with a lot of people that I didn't bother eventually.

Hope they can import a good Japanese Cammy in the future.

Like Y or Banbaban.

Hell, they need to get some more Japanese players in general.

Are there any top-level Dee Jays? (Or people with pocket ones?)

The biggest thing about that match up is that DJ's upkicks shut down any and all attempts to dive kick from Cammy. Even those wake up dive kicks that dodge DP's from shoto's don't work on DJ, his upkick will catch it or whiff and he escapes. So it's basically a footsie match up and I don't know if DJ is better in that regard. But shutting down dive kicks is a pretty big deal.

He placed higher than Sanford, Alioune, KBrad,Chi Rithy, and Ryan Hart at this past Evo.

How is he not up to caliber?

Edit: Dakou has an amazing Deejay

That is fine if you only choose to look at tournament results, but I would rather base my judgement on his performance, and he got outclassed and outplayed in every single way.

I don't think at this moment Laugh could beat a single player from this season in a FT7.

Laugh just seemed off in general and that happens, no player is perfect and they all have bad days. He should've stuck with Ryu and played a more careful game though.

But deejay having to hold down back doesn't allow him to play good footsies if he wants to shut down divekick. The moment you see deejay walk back, that cammy is going in so I think Cammy still beats him.

Also he's free to meaties, and Cammy has great frame traps.

Did you not see Ryan Hart lose 7-0 last season?

Its just Cammy/ Akuma man..they can do that.
