Nomuraman for Injustice 2

Um...a little too much on the wings. Maybe it's just me though.

Enjoy getting Merk(ava)'d

on wait and see mode for this game
Between Merkava and Firebrand, we'll have enough CAW CAWWW for the rest of our lives.

Now imagine Firebrand with Merkava's normals. x_x

Yeah he's gonna be the scrub killer of the game for sure.
I think people are going to get more tight playing Gordeau, his range (and the damage he gets) is just silly... but it's all relative.

I'm looking forward to Tekken 7 because maybe it will mean I can learn how to play Tekken again without having to fucking spend 80 hours playing to feel like I've even begun to understand the very basics of the game.

Hopefully that, at the least some sort of gameplay trailer.

How many new characters do you guys think will either be revealed then, or be in Tekken 7 total? Or at least, what does everyone think the ration of New to Old characters will be?

New Tekken games generally give 3-6 new characters now. 4's kind of a weird case, since only 2 were technically new(Marduk and Steve), and three were just new versions of already existing characters(Violet, Christie and Combot). 5 added six(Asuka, Raven, Feng, Dragunov, Lili and Jinpachi. Seven if you count Devil Jin), and 6 added 6(Bob, Miguel, Zafina, Leo, Lars and Alisa).

I'll say Tekken 7 adds 4 completely new characters with new fighting styles, and 1-2 characters like Devil Jin/Christie.

Let's look at how many new movelists were introduced with every iteration:

Tekken 2 --> Tekken 3
Jin, Xiaoyu, Hwoarang, Eddy, Bryan, Ogre, (Ignoring Dr. B & Gon)

Tekken 3 --> Tekken 4:
Jin, Steve, Marduk (Christie does not count)

Tekken 4 --> Tekken 5:
Jinpachi, Feng, Raven (Asuka does not count)

Tekken 5 --> Tekken DR:
Dragunov, Lili

Tekken DR --> Tekken 6.0
Leo, Zafina, Miguel, Bob (Ignoring Azazel and Nancy)

Tekken 6 --> Tekken BR
Lars, Alisa

Tekken BR --> TTT2
Jun

TTT2 --> TTT2 Console
Kunimitsu, Dr. B (Ignore all clones)

Now considering the fact that Harada told Aris the ideal character count will be 35-38 characters... I only expect maximum 3 new characters for T7. That is my prediction for proportions of new vs old characters.

If asuka doesnt count, then Arguably only xiayou and eddy were completely new in Tekken 3, hwoarang has a bunch of baeks moves, Bryan had a bunch of Bruce's moves, jin had a bunch of Kazuya/jun moves and ogre was just a mishmash of a bunch of Tekken 2 characters... =P

semi serious argument

Hwoarang played NOTHING like Baek despite sharing a couple moves. Jin was a mixture of Jun/Kazuya but the fusion made it so that his playstyle was very different from Kazuya or Jun (same thing goes for Ogre). Bryan's lack of knees and different 3,2,1 string made him very VERY different from Bruce.

Asuka played EXACTLY like Jun.... until they gave Jun her own unique style with TTT2.

T3's Hwoarang count but T5's Asuka don't?

Edit: NM just saw the post above.

Yeah the game feels really fresh and smooth. Even the menus have this sleekness to it.

Totally. These color names are bomb as hell, not gonna lie. My friend walking in on me playing this and asking 'where the fuck da chop ass frames was at' made my night though

Damn you guy's are making me hype for UNiB.

EDIT: Someone named their Hitmonchamp Pie Smug, their Coffin Steam Co. Sanford, and one other pokemon called the Curly mustache on Yipes stream.

Just saw this in the Skullgirls OT.

After many years in development, Skullgirls released in 2012 to glowing reviews and admirable sales figures. Despite their hard work, however, developing studio Lab Zero Games has unfortunately not seen a cent out of Skullgirls' sales since its release... until now!
Not surprising, but I'm glad things are changing. I think I'm going to gift a bunch of copies this winter sale thanks to this news.

Congrats to Mike Z and co. I wonder if they'll stick with the franchise or do something else as they're next project moving forward.

SG is one of those games that really humbles you when it comes to knowing how the games industry operates. It's kind of insane how much the game has persevered through.

I honestly want to try UNiB even after trying CT, P4, and CP and failing to click with an anime fighter.

Of course, I also bought Skullgirls even though the demo told me I didn't like the gameplay or art, then crowdfunded it for twice the price of the game that I had already paid. So perhaps I just support any 2D fighting new IP regardless of if I end up enjoying it. Gotta keep the genre as a whole healthy and profitable so they keep getting made amongst the flood of MOBAs.
3D fighters can go extinct though.

I think I've realized that the absolute best moment when playing in a tourney in locals is when you take the first match, your opponent tries to counter pick by picking another character and you destroy them anyway. Happened two times today. Felt like a boss.

Having a lot of fun with UNIEL. Playing Melty in the past, it's not too hard to get adjusted to UNIEL. I'm still working on keeping track of my opponent's GRD along with implementing shield more to prevent easy jump ins and such.

I will admit, it was a bit jarring to start off with Eltnum and try doing Melty movement. lol
Apparently UNIB is getting good netcode reports. Might buy it just based off of that.

Eh, it's ok. Although this is coming from someone that doesn't like most netcode. Might be a little worse than BB? But that might be because of how neutral is in this game and how I'm still new to it.

Fighting rank? Timerscam Lord.

I love this MSTR Shadowloo / Street Fighter watch. Just got it from Capcom <3

Wait, his legs were that fucked up and he's obviously infected with "something" that could be contagious. So instead of getting medical attention he goes to the biggest fighting game tournament in the world with around 1000 people there maybe. Putting everyone there at risk.

That common sense...

Dude killed a community and stole from his own league of legends team, he's like triforce's evil-er twin.
