Given the tour, it would seem that Capcom Cup is the place that they'll captialize on to release all of this information.

I can SDCC giving a reveal of maybe a vs game, as opposed to a new 1 v 1 fighter, as the assets used in Vs. games usually have some more significance to the crowd at SDCC.

Rocket makes specific mention in the comic that the inflections Groot makes when saying "I am Groot" convey everything. I'm surprized that they let him have another line, as they've never had him say anything else (IIRC) other than a sigh (which can be debaded whether or not it's actually him saying something) once.

That's a very odd design, the knob that winds the mainspring being on the left hand side. Even if the watch was made specifically for a left handed person (to be worn on the right wrist) so the knob is facing away from your elbow (and your left hand can wind the mainspring easier without crossing the watch), the dial suggests that's not the case here.

There were over 3K participants in the tournament, and probably 5-7K people (conservatively) there to watch on grand finals Sunday (the convention center has a capacity of 10K).

but in retrospect, if chrisG had faced Justin in winners, he would have probably rightly gotten bopped by the storm on point and sent to loser.

could he have made adjustments enough to reset and and win evo?
 
Knowing ChrisG he would've been mind fucked so hard that he would've lost to FChamp in Loser's finals as well (if he lost to Justin in WF).

When Yipes was congratulating the top 8 winners, ChrisG was still shaking his head and kept on saying "... he got me".

I did hear that Chris has been practicing some Strider recently. That might of helped against storm on point.

people say the Marvel scene has stale a bit, 'cause it's almost always the same guys on top 3, but I love this competition they have against each other. It took Justin a long time but he finally got the answer to beat Chris, and now Chris is trying to adapt back

So I'm strangely sick and decide to go wawaaaaaay far away from my home and doctors to go to an event where I'm going to be in direct and indirect contact with thousands of people in an enclosed space. It's getting worse and worse and becoming more and more painful but I'm just chillin, letting my body shut itself down from the limbs on in. On an upnote, the sudden blackout naps are really great...

Wow, Marn is in rough shape. Hope he gets the help he needs.

edit: and yes I agree that putting himself in direct contact with thousands of people at EVO was not a brilliant decision on his part.

Someone who drove up to EVO with Marn told me that Mr.Wizard made him bring a note from a doctor or some shit saying he wasn't contagious.

I saw him playing blackjack a couple times and he looked like he was about to die.

And you know, he made, what, top 16 at EVO? That's better than 99% of the people who invest all their time and effort into these games will ever accomplish, so maybe it's worth it for him?

Which is exactly why this is disappointing, even though I never really thought highly of Marn or something in the first place.

Anyways, I just hope he gets better. It's entirely possible whatever he has probably didn't have him thinking straight this entire time when he decided he should go to EVO anyways.

Did anyone see this BT Round Table discussion after EVO.

It's good stuff but what caught my attention was the section where someone tweeted MarlinPie that he "ruined" MVC3 by discovering the Doom TAC combos/infinites etc.

To which MarlinPie replied "there was a time when I was in New York and I was with S-Kill when he was still with Capcom working on the game. I told him about the infinite and not only did they not care about it they were already aware that it was in the game."

I actually remember Kyohei making a cryptic tweet during that meeting. Dont remember exactly what it was though im guessing it related to the Doom infinite
