Nothing too surprising TBH, it'll just be like how WCG placed their bets on DOA4 years ago. IPL holding that DOA5 tourney in E3 implies that eSports still are clueless as far as fighting games goes.

A little late, but IPL is not holding a DOA5 tournament at E3. Tecmo is holding a DOA tournament, IPL is broadcasting it. This is Tecmo's show, they call a majority of the shots. At IPL5, if DOA5 is featured, IPL will be able to call the shots.

Smurf and/or Biz and/or Frantic and/or Jetman you better enter this next week, wanna see it. If I'm home I'll try, lol. Looks hilarious and online is lol anyway.

Team MTLSF announced, Chi-Rithy and Snafoo the first player members.

Chi-Rithy and Snafoo were playing under the MTLSF tag at Toryuken, guess this is an official announcement of an actual team. Both will be at M.A.T IX this weekend and ECT4 next weekend.

Im sure everyone saw it already but this Bonchan Vs Daigo first to 7 set is incredible.
Hey Kadey your boyfriend still has it!

I watched it earlier, it was a great set by both character. This is my favorite match up between "fireball characters". If this was the match up we see at Big 2 every single week, I don't think people would complain as much.

As for how it was in Vanilla. I don't think the match up was ever that bad, although I felt it was still in Sagat's favor. Midway through Vanilla Daigo was very comfortable with this match up and was winning it consistently. Both guys did ridiculous damage, although some of Sagat's stuff was even more unfair.

It was a great set, but it made me sort of chuckle about how people characterize Americans as being more "hype" than the Japanese. These commentators are screaming their lungs out over an exhibition match at an arcade.....

Well, when the commentators are Kokujin and Nuki...

Kazunonko as in the Kazunoko who is #1 in the SSF4AE BP system and won last years Canada Cup? He plays Marvel to, was his name just mentioned with the rest, or are we talking about a different guy?

Yea it's AE Kaz. Shady probably didn't mention it cause he figure we all already know who Kaz is or twitters 140 character limit didn't give him room. Champ was talking about it a few weeks ago. Basically they are stopping by the FGTV house a few days before EVO.

Sucky part is that Champ and Rog already booked their plane tickets for EVO so the day that the Japanese players come to FGTV they are leaving for EVO. =(

Hopefully they have an extended stay in America after EVO so we can get some more matches in.

So I guess Ricky, Shady, and other NorCal heads will be entertaining the guest at the FGTV house. Oh well, should be fun to see how these guys do in casuals against some of NorCal's best before EVO.

Heh, if I got the time, I might. Gotta wonder how I'd do. I've beaten OMG itz Dropped Comboz everytime I played him, and he's in grand finals, so... :P

Evo should be hype. I'm really excited about these Japanese Marvel players showing up. Americans gotta be on their game.

I want to see FChamp vs Kazunoko in AE just to see him get mad at the Sim vs Yun matchup.

Well during Shadowloo Showdown, FChamp faced a Chinese player named Xiaohai in the pre-SS tournament which took place at a arcade the night before SS2K12. Despite the fact that he didn't win the main tournament, many felt he was the best player there. But anyways, he used Yun in AE and now mains Cammy in AE 2012. When he and Champ faced each other in the pre-SS tourney, Champ said he didn't hesitate to go straight to Yun. Champ was like "really? 7-3 wasn't good enough, you had to go straight to the 8-2 match up" lol. Although Xiaohai didn't win the main tourney, he did win the pre-tourney which had all the same killers as the main tourney did. I hope he comes to EVO, he should be one of the favorites to win KOFXIII and SF4 IMO.

Just my personal opinion, but I favor the Mexicans over the Chinese in KOF13 from what I've seen so far. They don't seem like they're taking the game that seriously, at least from the Shadowloo Showdown tournament. I definitely want to see Dakou and Xiaohai at Evo though.

I think Xiaohai is going to be more focus on KOF than AE. I wouldn't call him a favorite for AE but he's definitely a lurking shark that's ready to bite.

I don't know man...I really hope BUM didn't forget to stream.

EDIT: I forget Bum likes to have these late night House of Crack sessions.

Hmm seems that way

Slightly off topic: Any of you here posts on SRK? What's really good with the mods there? I got banned basically for explaining what the word gimmick means lol

So with Capcom games running better on 360, it's probably best to just run with 360 for all of the games then to keep it at one place?

I've been on srk since 2005, and i basically only post in the general discussion area and try to avoid the fighting game section. That's why i came to GAF since fg discussion on here is so much better.

Xiaohai has zero chances of taking KOF....... no one who drops HD combos as much as he does has a chance of taking KOF. My impression too is that contrary of popular belief the chinese cares a lot more about AE than they do about KOFXIII.

Yeah man the discussion here is much better. I only posted in the UMVC3 Stream Commentary thread and GD up until I got banned. Nothing of value was lost lol
