That is how it's set up every week, if you want to listen to the japanese it's on your right. On the left, Jiyuna is translating for the english audience.

that's intended there was a title card at the beginning saying to turn up left for English and right for Japanese

They set it up so that if you do want to hear only the JP people and not English commentary, then only use the right speaker.
