Jay Cooper, Horner's lawyer, told The Hollywood Reporter that he is trying to contact the composer and hasn't heard from him since the crash. NBC News reports that Horner is missing, citing Cooper.
:-(
Last of the Mohicans.
Jeremy Soule's FB post doesn't make me particularly optimistic.
RIP.
Jeremy Soule via Facebook said:RIP James Horner. Thanks for all the magic and music.
Still waiting official confirmation
It's confirmed through my channels
Just hasn't been a public announcement yet
I meant no disrespect and wouldn't post something this heavy unless I knew. Unfortunately, it is true.
Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock, Aliens, Cocoon, Krull, Willow... he was (hopefully still is) a master of awesome 80s soundtracks.![]()
Great song. I totally forgot that was Horner's soundtrack
He truly was one of the greats. Man. Maaaan.
Man.

What a tragedy![]()
Horrible news.
I love his music. Braveheart, Zorro, Casper and A Beautiful Mind.
Rest In Peace.
The only reason I go back to Avatar is to listen to the soundtrack, that shit still holds up, fam.
Damn, this sucks. RIP
He did deserve much more kudos for his Avatar OST.
I think when it came out it was criticized quite a bit for being too "same old Horner"![]()

the main forest/navi theme is still beautiful. Not his best score, but it's pure Horner in the best sense,He did deserve much more kudos for his Avatar OST.
