But that was Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman. Fantastic score though. Better than the movie it was for.

Strangely, many links on a Google search credit Horner for it, which is odd. But it definitely wasn't him.

For whatever reason and completely by surprise, a good friend's father was at Virgin Records in Hollywood and special ordered the CD for me, importing it from the UK. Not a big deal these days, but a massive deal (particularly to me) back in the day. Still one of my favorites of all time.

I'm deeply saddened by this... I remember how horrified I was when Harrison Ford crashed and there were so many conflicting reports on his medical condition... I've always dreamed of getting my pilot's license and learning to fly, but these stories always scare me away from the idea.
This is making me really sad. I have never been broken up over a famous person dying before, but James Horner is the first composer I knew by name. One of my teachers showed the movie Glory to us in grade school, and i remember thinking the movie was really cool, but the music really stirred me and stuck out in my mind.
The first CD i ever owned was the soundtrack to that film, and it was the first music of any kind i ever bought with my own money. Music is a big part of my life, and always will be. I am a total soundtrack geek, and i even write some stuff myself.

His Wilow soundtrack is my favorite OT of all time. Sad for families and their loss.
I guess it didn't work with the way the movie was cut at that point.

Mann went apeshit making sure Mohicans matched his vision. Most crew heads were fired or quit as he got more and more demanding. Definitely not sure if Horner was ever officially hired to score but him being brought up in searches could lead to the possibility. Movie's actually pretty infamous for being a hell to work on.
Or the searches are wrong. That's a more likely reason.
