It's a Monster Hunter type game. Won't be anything like Fantasy Life.

Exactly! I've tried so hard, playing 3U and 4, but eventually it just got too...much.

IDK I said yesterday it wasnt really great , yet the more I play the more its growing on me. It looks terrible, lets get that straight, but I find the combat more enjoyable than MonHun granetd I dont love MonHun or have any affinity for it. But I like choosing the classes and I like the way this plays, I'll keep sticking with it, just unlocked the

It never particularly interested me as I'm not a fan of this sort of game anyway, but it's a shame it doesn't seem to have done what it set out to do especially well.

I love FF, but between the genre this game channels and the general impressions I've read, I'm giving Explorers a pass.

In a vacuum, maybe I'd be bored enough to play it. But with MH4U already out and in my 3DS? I don't see the point.

I know it's not a fair comparison as this series is just getting started out, but the tiny number of large monsters just doesn't cut it these days.

As someone who absolutely loves MonHun (170hrs in 4U; 100+ in 3U), even I'm ecstatic that this isn't a complete clone.
