Final Fantasy Five Four Job Fiesta 2012

Twintania is destroying me. I guess I could grind for a couple coral rings to survive tidal wave. Any other tips for a Knight - Thief - Black Mage - Beastmaster party?

Sure you kind of expect the first boss of rift to pale to the later ones but Calofisteri is so easy. Sure I guess she drained back some hp here and there but the beats just kept rolling. Solune doesn't care about your drain (though getting hit with old really sucks).

We are sure being underestimated. I think a real panda would of been more difficult. A recycled Byblos is no problem.

Yes. Yes we are. Picked up Thor's Hammer between Apanda and Azul. Now Faris can get full back row damage. There's not much to say about this boss. Didn't get hit with any particularly dangerous Blue magic, even had Solune take Berserk as his sub skill and just went RTSD on the guy.

Catastrophe now this guy has a name to match his disposition. Earth Shaker nearly kills everybody and it's impossible to take two so I wound up just going all in and hoping he wouldn't use that move. It worked out on the second try, taking only one Earth Shaker. By the next turn I had barely won with berserked units no less.

After reverting back into humans, there isn't much to this fight. Just beat him quick before he starts mauling you with his strangely powerful attacks.

Last year I turned Twintania into a shaky toad. This year, turned into stone. Luckily I had some method of cheesing the gigaflare mode once again. I tried surviving it but even with 30% HP+ it wasn't enough. Four coral rings and a couple Aegis shields made this much easier than last year when I only packed one coral ring.

Gilgamesh our bro returns.

A lot tougher than last year without a Samurai just throwing money at all life's problems. Took a good couple attempts to get it. Bahamut spam and some lucky Berserker attacks nailed the barriers one by one. And Gilgabro finishes it off.

Only Exdeath left to go.

They can be confused. I've done it.

Enemies use the abilities on their "control" list randomly when confused. For enemies that have 3 variations on attack and then something special this can be frustrating, but it can be done.

Cool, did not know that. I'll give that a shot!

To go along with that, I'm pretty sure tidal wave is a counter to physical damage, so just wait out the charge.

Atomos, WHY U SO EASY?

But seriously, I just put it to Sleep and just Bio'd him to death.

Other than the opening Comet salvo, it never attacked once.

So far, Black Mage has been my saving grace on this run.
Heh, I did exactly this. Sleep then Black magic till dead. :)

Awesome went digging for my Artemis Bow and my Enhancer.

I wonder if I should grind my chicken knife, I have Rapid Fire so it's almost a waste, but I don't think I really need it.

Fork tower has been mixed this time. I made the Minotaur actually cast holy which was fun. Omniscient sucks without magic. I'm bouncing off silence with mage masher then hitting with !Gaia...the half the time Wind Slash happens, yay. The other half of Sonic boom, blah. Shame the Silence part taking variable amount of time makes it another tug of war...as long its faster than 5 hours.

Edit: I was thinking. Its a good thing Omniscient can't confuse himself. Imagine him hitting himself then casting return as a counter *suhdder*. Then again the game might not work like that as a confused monk can't hit itself then counter itself...

Melvin and co. meet with the Board of Directors.

Sorry, it deleted my first 3 pics for some reason.

He convinces them to side with him, and vote to remove The Boss from office. They ask Melvin to deliver the news personally.

Not much left to do, I think I'll head straight to Exdeath tomorrow. Oh, and Halicarnassus was much more difficult than I anticipated.

Blue Mage at the earth crystal is amazingly crap. Oh Kawazu.

Kni/Mon/Thi/Blu. Should be goofy.

Well, all good things must come to an end, as Melvin and co. finally confront the boss. But first, an old friend: The Secretary, destitute and filthy, living on the streets.

He points the party towards The Boss's hiding place, atop a monstrous tree.

The Boss launches into an all-out attack when he hears that The Board has elected to oust him, but Melvin and Krile show him the true power of Drinking and Chemistry, while Lenna and Faris pelt him with flames. However, just as he's about to expire, he reveals his true form: a hellish demon.

But by this time, Melvin is so drunk, and his companions so powerful, that the ensuing battle lasts less than 5 minutes.

With The Boss eliminated, Melvin becomes the new boss, and dedicates the company to restoring and protecting the environment. After his long adventure, Melvin is ready for a vacation.

I'd like to thank !Drink, !Mix, Odin, Break Spellblade, and Flare Spellblade for this easy victory.

After my Black Mages toasted Magissa in record time, I decided to attempt a complete Bestiary run (sans the add'l GBA content) in honor of the Muscle Bound Widowers Fund (and, of course, for the children). My party (Black Mage, Red Mage, Bard & Chemist) has rendered most of this challenge actually pretty easy, though I am dreading Omega.

One question I have though relates to the Magic Pot. If you feed it the Elixirs it wants, does it show up in the Bestiary as being defeated? Or am I going to have to get extraordinarily creative on this one?

Elixir puts him in the Bestiary, just checked.

Grinding out fire rings with no MT spells or abilities is tedious as fuck. The best I can do is to make two berserkers and give berserk to my knight and beastmaster and go wolf hunting for about three and a half hours.

Finally a day off so I can continue this. World 2 almost complete, dicking around exdeath castle at the moment, haven't had a issue yet.

I'm in the long procession of bosses in the Rift, and just beat Halicarnassus. Even though I'm now fully healed up though, I don't think I can do enough damage to Twintania to take it (her?) out effectively.

yeah im in the pyramid too, whats your party? l5 doom and bard songs make this level a breeze usually

also helps to equip those elf capes too, and shields if you got them. makes you pretty difficult to hit!

What's your party? If you have toad or instant death, you can use it during the gigaflare phase to cheese Twintania out.

Thief / Zerk / Geo / Chemist

I'm rolling Zerk / Geo / Chemist since Lenna isnt here. Unless I can get her already?

Getting closer to the end. Requiem makes the pyramid a lot easier. At this point, my party won't benefit from most of the remaining stuff I could get, so maybe I should just head straight to the void. Well, after I get mighty guard.

Is there a bug with the Blue Dragons in Exdeath's Castle? I fought "a" Blue Dragon that seemed to be three(or more?) Blue Dragons stacked on top of each other.
If you look down by the party it says Blue Dragon 3 and when you kill one it drops to 2 etc...I guess they wanted you to fight 3 but the sprites are too big

There is a monster in box later on (which does not appear in the Bestiary*) the does a similar thing during battle.

*-Its random out of two which one you fight and they only appear in one chest so they would impede 100% Bestiary if they were included, so they are excluded.
