Preordered. We're all screwed.
And I kind of quarterly forgiven Square for the Final Fantasy 7 troll moment last week. They can get the other quarter back for a awesome demo for FFXV, another Quarter for a awesome release of FFXV, and the final quarter back for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3.

Square LEs are online store exclusives.

it wont be, the last few CEs Square put out never showed up there and yeah GCU would make it a more willing purchase(and not having to deal with SE's distributor(is it still Digital River?)
The latest Square LEs have always indicated that right from the start though. This one doesn't (so far).
It's Pepita Store now. Last shipment with KH wasn't entirely smooth, so we shall see what happens this time.

They say they don't charge now but do they do the pre-authorization charge? Cause I really want to order it but the money I have now it's accounted for so I don't want to order it so all of a sudden what little money I have is frozen for 1-2 weeks till they give the money back....

Supposedly it's only 1 dollar pre-autho charge. I'm too scared to look at my credit card balance right now. I hate black friday and christmas shopping.
Actually yeah, you're right. I feel like I'll end up getting an email from their newsletter stating that it indeed will be, though. FFXIV LE was available in outlets, so I guess there was that.

That would be very nice! I'll have to not get my hopes up though or I'll go crazy near release day.
Still haven't got my email about the preorder. That always makes me antsy ugh.

If I could get this at Best Buy with GCU I'd get it, but it's just not worth double the price of the game for me.
Ordered mine about 10 minutes ago. Received my confirmation email not long after. Those of you who have yet to get one may want to check your spam filters.

Anyway, I have to say this CE is one of the nicer that Square has done recently. I think this is the fastest I've jumped on a CE for any game in a very very long time. That steelbook just looks amazing, and the fact that we get the manga packed in just seals the deal.
Also, I'm not sure about pre-auth or anything, but they 100% do not charge until 10 days prior to release.

Dangit! I really want that manga. Does anyone know if it specifically states it's SE store exclusive? Because if it doesn't I'm willing to bet this could make it to retailers. I'm sure they would want to advertise that it's SE store exclusive if it really is. They usually do with the other ones. Also, they are really pushing this game so I feel there's a better chance this CE could make it to stores over the FFX and KH1.5/2.5 CE.
It doesn't. But chances are it is exclusive anyway. I guess we'll know soon enough.
I just ordered it and I'm from Canada, don't see what the problem is except for the $35 dollar shipping and exchange rate which is more like $200 Canadian total lol.

Hopefully it's clarified soon. Like you, there's no way I'm paying $36 for shipping, but I'd gladly pay the $100+tax for the CE itself.

Canadian shipping has been very pricey lately, but $35 IS really steep. It might be because it's really weighted from the books, but yeah. Would be nice to know the weight to determine if it really would be that pricey for shipping.

This is the kind of bullshit that makes me afraid to live anywhere outside of the U.S. I feel like the prices as well as shipping costs for video games are insane every where else.
Or is this just Square Enix being a dick? I can definitly accept that answer.

Cool, just sent them an e-mail myself. I politely asked if they could revise the shipping cost for Canada or offer the CE at retailers. Hopefully they fix this. $36 is insaaaane for shipping!

Spending $100 on Type 0 is an enormous waste of money.
A lot of people like the OG PSP version, more or less (some really like it, others think it's varying degrees of decent/playable with some flaws), some people think it's not that good. So.. it's officially a Final Fantasy game.
If it did it would be among the top 5 highest selling FF games, around 9 million or so, I doubt they'd even ship out that much copies for the first shipment.
