I don't expect an FF15 announcement anytime soon, but I'm positive that it's coming eventually.
Tabata said as recently as late January that "there are currently no plans for a PC version" in regards to Type-0 HD, and here we are today.

They waited until people paid $60 at retail first.

bundling dota trinkets is genius

edit: if this is a thing going forward, i hope they make some gundam couriers or samurai ones based on the dynasty warriors/etc will buy day one

Should have waited for the PC version, it's coming sooner than I expected. I will probably wait for a FFXV PC release now.

Is it 60fps? I'll buy it day zero if it is.

Chances are pretty slim.

From the console Type-0 DF face-off.
Then we come to frame-rate - the HD version of the game retains the 30fps update of the original PSP title and does so with little difficulty. Both consoles turn in a stable 30fps with only minor frame-pacing issues interrupting the fluidity, particularly on Xbox One. While this may seem like a disappointment, the game was coded for 30fps originally and would not function properly at 60fps without overhauling core systems. According to one of the key programmers, the optimisation necessary to run at 60fps would have been minimal in comparison to the massive required overhaul of the game's underlying systems. It was simply beyond the scope of this project, which says a lot considering how many other changes were implemented.

I'll probably get it on GMG with a 23% off coupon (23PERC-ENTOFF-JULY15) when it appears on the website.

It's weird though, in the past everytime Square announced a release date for a FF on PC it was immediately available on GMG with a 23% discount, not this time though.

Eh, I'll tolerate 30FPS locks if it's for engine reasons and the rest of the port is decent and it can keep to 30FPS without dips.

Might be worth lighting the Durante signal up for the sake of seeing if a theoretical 30FPS lock can be bypassed and what results from it.

Is it 19.99 for PC?
The game is pretty bad, and I am still feeling burned by the 60 price tag to experience a bad demo.

It's really not.

It's an experimental FF and in being so it's exactly what it set out to be.

Not that it doesn't have flaws, but let's temper our expectations here.

I'd worry more about the damn thing having a stable framerate. Sup, FF13/13-2's performance on PC?

It's also a PSP game that people judge on PS4 standards (not entirely their fault I guess...)

Considering Hexadrive helped out with all versions of Type-0, I don't think the performance itself will be an issue...

I can get the game on PS4 for the same price and I would get XV demo.

So is one of the first times that I'd rather get the console version.

Thanks bomba prices!

I'll probably wait for a $5 sale since I have both PSP and PS4 versions and have played the game several times over at this point.

Unlike the FFXIII trilogy, Type-0 doesn't run on Crystal Tools but on some Hexadrive proprietary engine. Since the game has "DX11 effects", it's almost certain that they made the game for PC and then ported it to consoles. I trust Hexadrive on this port.

Shocked it's coming out so soon and at an awesome price too looks like i'm gonna need to make sure I get a little extra money here soon then.

$30? Lol.

Retail is still $40.

And the PC version has more shit than the retail version. And it's 10 dollars cheaper.

Granted, it's a digital release which tends to always have 10 bucks shaved off the top, but still.

It's not exactly "Lol" material. Maybe if it was MORE than the retail version it'd be laughable.

$29.99 for PC eh?

I'll wait I guess - gonna get it for PS4 first since I'm getting a PS4 this year.

Wont be upgrading my PC until next year.

Just based off their previous FF ports is where I get my lol from. If this one turns out well I'll be more than happy to take it back.

Could probably just wait until you get your PC upgraded.

Type 0 doesn't strike me as a must play in the series. By the time you do get your computer ready to go, you will be able to pick this up dirt cheap.

Too bad you are going to miss Phantom Pain on PC, the Ground Zeroes port was phenomenal.

Seriously. Do it. PP might seems totally unapproachable from a narrative standpoint without it. If you watch the new E3 trailer and just sit there like "what even" then that's probably how you'll feel the whole game.

Also, I don't think anything in entertainment has given me the same delight except maybe The Beatles and Gurren Lagann.
