Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster PC performance thread

Did you mean just shifting the window to the other monitor?

Try shift-start-arrow. It generally works for everything. (Bearing in mind I haven't specifically tried with this Steam release)

My mind was blown when someone mentioned it on GAF.

No sorry I mean something like this.

What key are you talking about when you say "start?" I need this in my life.

Holy. Shit.

No modern software development team of any size refuses to implement something out of sheer disinterest. Management of priorities and what can be shipped and making sure that the most important feature set ships with the minimum number of bugs sometimes means that implementing a Japanese audio track for people who can't read Japanese doesn't make the cut. It's nice that modders have done that for you but let's not lose our heads with the 'lazy' accusations.

Reading this thread, there seems to be some good impressions of the game running well on IGP cards, but if anyone else here is running on something more equivalent to my laptop and can verify how the game runs, that would be great.

5th gen i5 5200u and intel HD 5500 graphics with 12GB RAM.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, still no control input working in the game, so I'm assuming something in the ini file in the save folder is jacked up. Any idea what I should look for?

Sorry to bump this. I've got some slight hitching/stuttering issues with the game. Nothing crazy, but it's been bothering me a bit. It seems to be apparent especially when the textures are set to High, but my computer should be beefy enough to support it:

i7-6700k
GTX 980
32 GB RAM
Windows 10 Pro

I've tried using the "Untitled Project X" mod with the recommended performance tweaks, tried flip mode, tried full screen mode, but it remains. I've also changed the power profile in the NVIDIA control panel to Max Performance, but it didn't make any difference. Does anyone have the same issues? Was anyone able to fix it?

Thanks.

Anyone know if there is maybe another mod that would get me english subs and jap audio ? Kaldaien's makes the game unplayable on my rig.

No, but dude's pretty active (saw him in Nier steam forums recently). I'd try shooting him a message and see if he can help you troubleshoot whatever's causing you issues.

Yeah I'm browsing the thread right now, trying to find the issue and I see he's a constant presence, guess i'll try it.

Did modders ever figure out 60fps, or is the dream dead?

I don't own a PC and only play this on PS4. But just interested in technical details.

There's not been an update on that in ages sadly, to be fair it's a monumental undertaking given how much of the game logic needs to be changed to accommodate it

Shame.

Maybe SE themselves will figure it out for the inevitable PS5 remaster.

Just started playing this and i'm noticing the microstutters not tied to performance that has been mentioned in this thread.

Did anyone ever find a fix for it? Thougt vsync would do the trick but no dice.
