I remember the old restoration process was "put in POL ID and password" and it would bring up your info almost instantly and you can restore it right from there, but now its this whole e-mail thing where you have to wait for responses and all that.

I downloaded the Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition, but I still can't access Seekers content. I have bought all the expansions except for seekers, but I thought it was included in the free trial?

There's a quest you must do once you reach Jeuno. Talk to the npcs in the building across from the Lower Jeuno AH.

Did they ever make any big graphical/UI changes? I seem to remember in 2011 or 2012 that some kind of overhaul in that area was on SE's roadmap for the game. I even re-subscribed for a little while but that update never came while I was there.

It's been just too hard to look at the last few years. I'm not even talking about the assets which in my opinion are still great. The world's color palette looks so washed out, even with some of the registry hacks to increase resolution. Maybe it was always that way. I tried it on 360 and a modern PC. Same thing.

Havn't played since 08 but I installed and logged on since all accounts are active for the Vana'versary...oh boy I feel so lost. I have rdm and bst at 75. Super crappy gear for my bst since I sold of some stuff before I quit and if there's one job I'd like to check out again it's bst for sure. I have 1.2mil so I guess I could pick up some decent gear and get whacking.

Also I read about that blue chest in port jeuno that gives some free stuff like 100,000 cruor, which is used to buy gear I guess? But I can't open the chest and the NPCs there do nothing. Does one need to be lv 99 to be able to open it? :S

Myself (and others) were under the impression that you would have temporary access to all expansions by taking part in the trial, but apparently you only have access to whatever was on your account before you left. Not sure if this is intentional or if it will be fixed later at this point.

Either way, there's a bunch of new non-expansion stuff to mess with, and if you wind up liking it and want more, transfer to or re-roll on sylph and hit me up for a social shell.

Oh and don't blow your gil on gear if you're 75.

Welp time's up, was fun while it lasted, expected to just be doing nothing in game but ended up helping a friend who, came back to the game recently and I feel kinda bad the trial period wasn't longer so I could have helped out more.
