It wasn't rumored it was literally dropped in so many different documents, Square Enix employees mentioning it, and so on. It was the worst kept secret ever but at least they finally announced it.

I think Final Fantasy Online players enjoy it because it cuts out unnecessary story elements and provides a more streamlined combat experience.

Pretty much. The remaster looks great in these screens, but I can't get excited about a re-release of a game that disappointed me so greatly.

That said, others who liked the original will love this. I'll pass.
