Aw man, I think I am going to go to bed, I am tooooo sleepy. Now I will come on tomorrow, the thread will be awesome, will have 1,900 posts in it already, and I won't be able to make my mark on it as one of the first posters. Tears will soak my pillow case tonight.
 
I really wanna hear more of FFXIII's soundtrack. Those clips don't really show much, some of the songs are just ominous tones, and no melody. I want to hear the real stuff.

So glad I preordered the soundtrack. Can't wait to hear what Hamauzu has in store, really sounds like a step up in composition quality from his other stuff.
 
How do you turn off the background music on the soundtrack page? If you click the Sound Off button, the music samples don't play.

Hm Hamauzu (at least to me, still remembering his work on Chocobo Dungeon and Saga Frontier II back then during the PSOne era, great stuff) has been always quality! :D

Of course! Maybe a better way of saying it is that it sounds like he's exploring new avenues, at the very least in production. For example, Unlimited Saga and Sigma Harmonics are two good, unique soundtracks, but the production and some composition sounds similar.

It's the Sakuraba syndrome, but it affects Hamauzu to a much smaller extent and FFXIII, so far, proves he's versatile.

Definitely agree with that, his work on Unlimited Saga was amazing. Let's hope FFXIII can come close to it.

There's also a disc on top of a memo which vaguely says something will blah blah until the release date.

it sounds like this week? same day as FFXIII release in japan. most of us would be ps3 only? God i hope that's true. PLEASEE

EDIT: Just realized that PSN store will be the only update this week only since next week is christmas and i doubt they'll update the week of new years. monkeys need to get drunk.
 
If it isn't the demo I'll.... I don't know what I'd do.

Though I'm assuming that if there is a demo it'll be the one from TGS and that I'll probably play it about a few hundred times.:lol

It's a good thing I just checked this thread, as I was willing to bid up to $30ish for the JP XIII demo on eBay or Craigslist.

i guess it's a christmas gift. may not be for everyone. just a demo disc for select people?
could participate in a contest to win the disc? idk. i want the damn thing on PSN store this thursday. to make up for the 2 weeks of no update after this week!
