Holy, are they killing Y'shtola again? And they even included blood in game, before it was only in the CG trailer for heavensward

On another note, some of those closes up near the end made the character models, especially their fingers, look better quality than right now. Not majorly, but I'd swear they seem better.

Yes.

It will include two modes: the first will retain the current 1080p resolution, but will increase frame rate. The second mode will retain the same frame rate performance we have now, but will increase resolution.

Though there's a new housing area launching at some point soon-ish, and that should free up a bunch of plots in the three current areas.

If I buy Stormblood, can I just start with the new stuff, or do I have to progress all the old story shit?

I bought Heavensward and never even made it to the beginning of the content because I got stuck doing old content that I couldn't find help for, or got bored solo'ing.

Don't want to do that again, and frankly I think it's bullshit to not give us a "skip ahead" option to start on the new stuff.

There's going to be a skip-ahead option introduced when Stormblood launches (a "jump potion").

It's $25 though.

So like WoW, Stormblood will introduce tokens/potions that can be purchased with real money to skip MSQ content from 2.0 and 3.0 and another token to increase your Class/Job to 60. I think the combined price for 1 job + all MSQ content is 50 USD.

You have the option of not playing content...if you pay for it. Have fun!

Haha, I actually laughed that this is the option that SE gave us. Looked it up to see if it was like $4.99 or something and found this:

As reported by Polygon, the game offers three different boosts for real money. The first, a job boost, is priced $25 and will boost a single job to level 60.

Then there are two story skips, the first lets you skip the main quests of the original game for $18, and another for $25 that will skip those quests as well as quests from the Heavensward expansion. As the site points out, reaching level 60 won’t be enough to gain access to Stormblood content, so depedning on how much you played (or didn’t play) of the main game or Heavensward, you may be looking to pay a decent chunk to skip that content.
