Final Fantasy XV official website changes its domain name

Very lucky. The franchise has been pretty rocky for over a decade. They could end the series for hardcore gamers with this game if it isn't phenomenal.

I think people will be disappointed if it isn't the best thing since sliced bread anyway, which it likely won't be. The one year silence has left me doubting.

Yeah, it might divide the fanbase even more than FF XIII, so many different expectations stacked up for nearly a decade now.

People trying to scrounge any little thing they can at this point. SE is lucky this game is surviving off hype alone right now.

I wonder how many of those people who got excited for this game when it was first announced back in 2006 are still hyped today.

I'm willing to guess that the majority has moved on.

I'm also curious how many promises have been kept since last year's reveals and original interviews.

I don't know about others but if this game isn't that good I wouldn't really care. Final Fantasy XIII was like a death blow and it's hard to recover from something like that. I kind of feel that this game will have an excellent story so I really want to play this.

I wonder if the devs realize the expectations regarding this specific title. If I were working on this game I'd probably crack from the pressure.

For some reason this game has always been the forbidden fruit for FF fans.I think it garnered everyone's attention ever since the announcement.Even moreso than FFXIII itself.

Every single trailer and interview about this game has been extremely promising ,but the constant wait inspires a lot of doubt all the same.

I'm sure they'll release the same trailer again but add 2-3 seconds of a new scene or something for TGS. No game-play, new information on story or a tentative release window, please be excited!

Same. I have literally zero hype for it, but will definitely play when it drops in price. Unless they completely redesign it so the main characters don't look like a Japanese boy band

Please.

Yeah, this means nothing.

Man, to be a fly on the wall of the dev room for this game. At this point, I'm almost more interested in the development process of the game than the actual game itself.

damnit, i visited the site and now i watched the trailer..
this game still looks so cool.. now im hyped again :(

Special edition should include "The making of: Final Fantasy XV" 10-disc Blu-ray set.

I always immediately click an FFXVersus thread in the hopes we'll hear something new. It almost never is. Just hope, disappointment and a bizarre mixture of the two.

Hellooooo
Naw this has still been my most anticipated game next to HL3 and KH3. Been following the game since day one. Kingdom Hearts combat is great and the fact that it moved into an FF game, a series with some of the best art design in gaming, is still exciting to me. Honestly the only thing that could kill my hype immediately is if they switch it to turn based or some weird hybrid (although issuing commands to party member doesnt sound awful).

It looked similar to FF12.
What?

Kagari and Duckroll were wrong all along; little angel Noctis will come to TGS and bless us with new footage that will make nobody question Nomura ever again. After that trailer, people will see the light that he has been trying to show us all these years, and after experiencing it we will understand why FFXV has to come out in 2017 and why Nomura's Batman design looks like Bahamut who took a bath in a junkyard.

TGS 2014 will rewrite history on how we see videogames and Nomura will be leader of the movement; hold my hand and witness greatness or go burn in a hell where Star Ocean 9 is already waiting.

THIS will be the year.

Me, sort of. To be honest I was less hyped for it back then because of Nomura fatigue. Now I'm ultra hyped. It won't be a game without flaws but then what truly is.

Final Fantasy and Square Enix are dead to me. Nothing I've seen from XV has convinced me otherwise. It looks too much like an Action Game (basically what Final Fantasy Versus XIII was always going to be) than a JRPG.

Too bad, because if they had kept it turn-based like every other main-line Final Fantasy before, I would maybe still have hope, eventhough it has been in development hell for like 8 years. It could have stood out as one of the few or maybe the only traditional AAA JRPG on the market with basically no competition, but I guess the SE managment is too busy evaluation marketing data than focusing on being the best JRPG developer.

Back in the day, they made games of such quality that they could conquer new markets, but now SE is only following industry trends and slowly drifting away into irrelevance.

Well, times change.

I keep seeing people mentioning FFXV being at TGS. No way it'll be there. Get real people !
In fact I'm so sure it won't, I'm ready to suck all the dicks available if FFXV ever makes it in the event.

Kagari and duckroll have been shrouded in darkness for a long time now

tomorrow the light will shine upon those lost souls once more

The gameplay looks nothing like it is now. It's completely different.

The combat looks a lot more grounded in the 2011 trailer.

But maybe because of the move to more powerful hardware they can actually have stuff like the instant vertical teleportation at a decent framerate.

The 2013 "gameplay" trailer was once a visual works cutscene ,but they actually turned into part of the game.I think that wouldn't be possible on PS3.

I actually became excited for this game AFTER last year's E3.
So i'm still fresh, i'm still believing in The Last Guardian, so it'll be a while for this to make me lose hope.

I did give up on Shenmue 3 and i'm about to give up on Beyond Good & Evil 2, though.

I forgot about tomorrow, believe! Always try to forget how much I want this game, but this is the month to start the hype back up!

And I think that most people who didn't enjoy Final Fantasy XIII didn't take it as an insult to their themselves and are just waiting for the next big game in the series.

No need to guess. I can tell you with absolute certainty that they broke their promise to "reveal new information on a regular basis" as we've seen noteworthy since the E3 rereveal.

Ah yeah... I kind of saw the writing on the wall for that one though when it showed up at TGS with nothing new.
