"real" FFXV, as in, FFXV that shows gameplay & tech that is representative of the final product and not just some super early version with lots of stuff incomplete & removed & unpolished and visuals that are unoptimized not quite what we'll get in the final game (hopefully 1080p@a smooth-ish 30fps).

You're right, but I want to be excited for this game again. I want to look at their "Persona vs Final Fantasy" question and think "holy shit how am I gonna be able to afford both?", instead of just thinking "Persona for sure".

What it needs to have:

• Non-bullshot steady framerate
• Some kind of complexity to combat
• Character stats and armor/accessories/etc
• Magic system

Everything else is whatever, I no longer care about whether the story is coherent, it makes no difference if the game is a total slog.

I honestly think the game looks a lot more interesting when Noctis is going solo, like the large majority of E3 2013 trailer and one of the earliest Versus XIII trailer. The three guys around kinda 'dilute' the intensity of the action and make it feel less interesting, particularly when they're all similarly dressed in black colour and outfit design, and one of them is the ever annoying Prompto.
