Fire Emblem Awakening Demo on January 17th

Should the OT title have a colon in it? I think it should.

Do units promote at level 20+100 Exp or do you require Master Seals for all non-story promotions?

And in a slightly spoilery question, are there story locked promotions? with all the reclassing you can do, it'd be a little odd.

No level 21 promotions. Gotta do it the old-fashioned way.

Nintendo of America has officially used the following names to refer to the game, in order of frequency:

Fire Emblem Awakening
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Fire Emblem Awakenings

Nintendo of Europe has only officially used the following name to refer to the game:

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Nintendo Co., Ltd. has only officially used the following name to refer to the game:

Fire Emblem Kakusei

Going by how Nintendo of America has been consistently using the name "Fire Emblem Awakening" in stuff like press releases, Nintendo Directs, and most other media, I really do think it's supposed to be without the colon, contrary to popular belief.

I knew Frederick was my favorite, and this just proves it.

He draws Chrom bara.

That sounds a lot like one of their support conversations, which would be kind of funny because I don't believe the Japanese version mentioned anything about Chrom being naked in the posters.

No story promotions. You use a Master or Second Seal to change anyone's class once they reach at least Level 10.
Well as long as they aren't severely limited. I just loved doing a battlefield promotion in PoR. Especially off an enemy attack. "Ow!" *Class change!* "Payback!"

Great to hear that Chrom isn't story locked with his own promotion. I remember having to hold Ike back because he didn't get his promotion until long after he could have done so himself.

At least Ike wasn't Roy. *shudder*
LITERALLY doesn't promote until the very end of the game, or even until after what would normally otherwise BE the end of the game. Great Lord! Until you look at stupidly late promotion.

Are there any sort of "base conversations" in the game ? FE9 and FE10 style, optional conversations in between battles. (Not support convos.) I really liked those.
Yes. Tons and tons of them. Almost every Male/Female character pairing has a full set of Support conversations.

If only we had a photo of the spine...

Unfortunately it seems like NoA didn't give out physical review copies for this one, just DL codes.

That's too bad. I feel like they took out a lot of my favorite elements of PoR and RD. Perhaps they are trying to distance themselves from those ones, because of how poorly they sold?

Anyway, still looking forward to the game however.
Ah, I see. I guess that with so many Support convos, they didn't bother with Base convos this time around.

The fan-translated FE12 does have those, though, albeit not as many as FE9 and FE10.

Lord of the RNG gets my vote too!

I will have an FE: Awakening Countdown 4 Days Left artwork done for the 31st!
I think I will have to include Frederick. He's my fave so far. xD

So... Marth isn't free according to that Best Buy ad... O.o Eh. FINE, I submit.

Will buy all the DLC just like I did with Theatrhythm FF!

Already pre-ordered at GS... I'd prefer not to go through BB if possible :/

Hi, in anticipation of this game I started playing Sacred Stones.

Can someone explain to me how the support conversations work?
Do I just have to let my units do nothing next to each other?

Essentially, but they don't have to 'do nothing', it only matters that they are next to each other at the end of the turn. Then they get support points. Here you can find a more detailed explanation and compatibility chart.

Thanks that's great.Does it start in the first chapters?Or do I have to wait until the game tells me about it?
