Fire Emblem Coming To 3DS

One of the things I hate about Fire Emblem are the chances that my character doesn't get a stat boost from leveling up at all. i hate having to reload saves just for the computer to get it right.
That's part of the unpredictability of the series. One of your characters got RNG screwed? Too bad, you take it like a man. At least that's how I see it.

It's not "to get it right", it's "to get what I want". Anyway I see it as part of the gameplay and have it just fine.

Wasn't there at least one game in the series that re-rolled until you got at least one stat up for every level? Or am I just crazy?

I know RD had BEXP always give 3 stat ups.

Opinions can't be facts. Sounds like you haven't learned a thing from the article. It's my opinion that people who find it patronizing are the ones who need to learn the most from it.

I like that your article appears to be about SRPGs on the surface but really it teaches all sorts of important lessons.

Yeah, in RD the RNG is fixed so that every level up gives you at least one stat up.

I'm still replaying Radiant Dawn for the 7th or 8th time, currently in the desert in part 4. My focus on archers and Laguz this time is quite interesting. All my archers are overpowered killing machines, and Laguz + Paragon + untransformed combat = huge experience gains.

I was somewhere in part 3 of a radiant dawn replay, I can't bring myself to face that second or third Dawn Brigade chapter on the cliff with tons of partner units wasting time.

I really hope they change to bigger numbers that are still influenced by range, but doesn't make entire levels worthless, or just get a beastly character.

I'm on my playthrough of FE:SD on its hardest mode. It's the only English release I haven't beat on the hardest difficulty. I'm on chapter 9 now and I have to say its probably the hardest one. I really hate that enemy reinforcements get to appear and move on the same turn. It's a little easier since I'm also going for the side chapters so I usually have a couple of units to sacrifice, but damn do I feel awful every time I do it.

Don't post much, but where Advance Wars is concerned, Dual Strike is easily my favorite. I don't blame people for thinking the dual CO Powers thing is overpowered, because it is. But every other AW game often ends up playing out too much like a puzzle game rather than a strategy game. I don't enjoy trying a mission over and over and over to figure out the correct moves for the first five turns, which I *have* to follow if I want to even have a chance to win. And a lot of AW missions, especially ones in which you can't build additional units, end up like that, or pretty darn close.

Dual Strike, through the dual CO Powers and CO leveling system, let you play as your favorite COs regularly, and thus you can actually focus on using your preferred strategies. The almost-puzzle-game problem is practically non-existent. And it's not like the AI doesn't get to use the dual CO Powers against you.

I agree completely.

There were so many different ways to approach a battle in Dual Strike depending on your CO. That, and the game had sooo much content. Days of Ruin was a good strategy game but it left me wanting, while I basically got hundreds of hours of use out of Dual Strike.

Looking at the trailer, it seems like supports will play a much larger role this time around. At least, that's what I'm interpreting from those 2-character combo attacks. That'd open up for some nifty new tactical options.

I'm ready to import, if necessary.

Though, I will say that a Fire Emblem-themed 3DS packed with the game would certainly put me over the edge...

AUGHHHHhhh *salivate*

COME OVERSEAS.

I so wanted to make my own character and was so heartbroken when they never brought Shadow Dragon's sequal over...

Also, there better be more console Fire Emblems. >__>
