First 4 Figures announces exclusive Amaterasu (Okami) figurine.

Read the post, read your username and immediately remembered figuregaf. The addiction for good figures never wanes.

I like 1/6 scale the most and wish we got way more selection in that scale the same way 1/4 does. I still collect 1/4 pieces and the Lightsuit Samus exclusive looked amazing so I jumped on it(only just got my final payment notice this week... it's been so long).

I'm not so sure I'd like the light up effect on this Amaterasu piece in person. I've never been a big fan of big lights on 1/4 figures other than on lightsabers(Sideshow's Shaak Ti's lightsaber is god tier). Otherwise the piece looks amazing. I would jump on it but this 1.4 USD/CAD exchange rate really hurts me a lot. Light Suit Samus ended up costing me way more than I had planned for.

Hey friend, yea, i love Okami and this is a beautiful statue so I couldn't resist. The only other Okami "figures" I have the is e-Capcom snow globe and plushies lol

Really tempted to order but I don't think I will.

Would also prefer the shading that this older version had.

They teased King recently, too which also looked neat.

*sigh* if only they could re-release Okami and make some sequels. Come on Capcom!

You want sequels from someone other than the Clover team?

In my perfect dream world, Okami and Viewtiful Joe sold in far greater numbers, Clover Studio was not disbanded, and they made more sequels to both games. But sadly the talent behind both games has moved on, Platinum doesn't have the rights, and I don't think there's anyone at Capcom who could do a sequel to Okami justice.

For now, I would like to see Okami HD for PS4, though.

They have payment plans, and honestly, the prices on the nicer F4F statues usually don't go down after production, they go up.

Gosh, payment plans for figurines. 0_0 It does look to be a very nice quality, though.

I'm going to try not to think about it. Even splitting the amount over a few months would still be a little more than I should be trying to justify spending.
Don't think about it... don't think about it..

Looks pretty good since there's no humanoid face for them to fuck up, but it's still way too big and expensive for me.

The fire ring on the mirror has LEDs that can light it up when switched on. F4F likes their light-up parts (Midna's hair and Metal Sonic's eyes and sparks light up on the two I have.)
Thanks. $88 to ship to Canada, was about to order but now I'm second guessing.

Meh. Figure would be way cooler if it showed Amaterasu just chilling.

Angry Amaterasu is boring.

That statue looks cool, but not $400 cool.

I don't understand how so many Japanese companies are able to make absolutely stunning PVC figures of anime, manga, and video game characters for $70-$150, and yet Western manufacturers all insist on going with heavyweight, fragile resins and shit and only come out with $400+ products.

I always wanted their figures, but I could never justify paying $100 (or more) + shipping + import taxes on one.

I don't know if it would be profitable, but I'd love smaller, PVC versions of them.

After looking through their figures, I'd say they're too expensive for the quality you get.

The only one I'd buy from them is "Lan Di". That one looks like it's worth the $235.

F4F figures are shit quality for the prices they ask. Especially anything thats supposed to resemble a human.

This is one of their better efforts but nearly $400 worth of effort? Hell no.

Where can I get good cheaper ones manufactured from Japanese companies that ship to the UK?

Amiami, Yesasia, Hobby Link Japan, and Big in Japan all so international shipping. Some of them even will act as a forwarding service if you want to buy from a Japan-only store.

Amiami is probably the most popular. Be forewarned that many people in the UK get hit with customs charges when their figures arrive, though.

That figure looks amazing. But paying nearly $400 for that is out of the question for me. I can't justify paying that much when I'm still taking out loans for school and when I barely even have the space to display it.

Well, I think part of the reason is that price point doesn't seem to be too popular in the west comparatively. The other probable reason is the costs of manufacturing/painting is probably too big of a hurdle. Most of the good paint factories are owned or used by the bigger companies in the east. Otherwise i personally think we would have seen a western entrant a long time back. The cost of producing mass scale figures with the quality we tend to get from the paintjobs that come from the big players (alter/gsc/maxfactory/etc) would be too costly to setup here.

Not even their worst one:

Don't think that's worse than the Zero Suit Samus, which really wasn't entirely F4F's fault. The ZSS design in Prime 2 was completely awful in the first place, nobody could make that good without completely redesigning it. They certainly didn't help at all, though.

lol yeah it was, they had the balls to make a figure that looked like that and charge ppl money for it. then again if you bought it...also your own fault...RIP that figure.
