First Amplitude PS4 gameplay

I love Amplitude, but I still think Frequency was the better game in both presentation and music selection.
That being said, I'm still jazzed to see this.

Same. I thought frequency was the better game overall and I also preferred the tube vs. the flat plane. I love these games so I backed it, this is looking great.
 
So, so glad to have Kickstarted this and tried as hard as possible to round people up to get on it themselves.

Awesome success story.
 
This looks and sounds like exactly what I expected when I backed the project. Nice to see the game shape up, and it's still weird to actually see the game get made.

The backer video shows the game on Expert, and while it's not as fast/hard as I remember Frequency and Amplitude getting, it's still much closer to that than what you see in the GameSpot video.

I wished they had shown a more interesting song, but it's looking great.
Oh and yes, the international alliance of fratbros is in full action inside the comment section. If I was boss at Google for a single day, I'd turn off Youtube comments forever.
 
I sitll think Frequency is better but at least this one will allow you to wrap around from edge to edge

This is me, I'd prefer FreQuency tunnel, but satisfied with being able to wrap from edge to edge.

I was in for $100, getting my sweet boxart!
 
this is coming along faster than I figured. Most excellent. Did they ever say what they focus on? I remember them sending a survey about it. Hopefully ps4 won.

Judging by the two videos, PS4 seems to be the focus.

The backer video really solidified everything for me, I have no doubts now that this will be exactly what I was hoping it would.
 
I miss it being a full circle like in frequency

There were design reasons for going from 8 tracks (Frequency) to 6 (Amplitude) which means that tube had to go bye-bye. But... track wrapping is back in the new Amplitude, meaning you can quickly jump from the further left track to the further right track (and vice versa). Kind of like a full circle!
 
Really? My first reaction is that graphically it looks like shit. Sounds great though, and I contributed to the Kickstarter, so I can't wait to get this.

OUCH. ;) Good thing, visually, what you're seeing isn't close to done (blaster isn't final, including animation, textures; UI is temp -- put in this week for PSX!; lighting ain't done; other effects haven't been implemented, etc.).
 
Disappointed they went with the track and not the tunnel. The tunnel was infinitely superior for gameplay because it wrapped around.
