First Forza 5 Direct Feed Gameplay: Bernese Alps

That sun position...... At this point it's looking like it really is the same time of day on every track.

Comic mischief indeed.

Direct feed finally, yay. Would have preferred some uncompressed, 60fps footage from Blim, but this'll do. :)

Looks really good.

Shame it's on YouTube since it's compressed to hell. Personally I can wait until both Drive Club and Forza 5 are out for any meaningful analysis but at least some people will get a good run with this :-)

Looks pretty damn good for a 1080p@60FPS.

Although I'm not sure that Direct Feed and YouTube should really be used in the same sentence.

I'm not going to lie, it's been about a year since I last booted up forza 4 and when the video kicked in (full screen) I swore it looked very much like forza 4 HD more then a next gen title.

Should have shown us a race with full grid, looking at that footage makes me want to go play the same track in forza 4, not buy a new expensive console and forza 5.

I don't know why, but I'm not super impressed. I just got done playing a lot of FM4, and I don't know, this just reminded me of a higher res version of that. Maybe I need to see more cars on the track.

It looks nice. The sound is fantastic.

YouTube compression absolutely kills it.

This is probably a factor in my feelings.

Everything else looks fine. But that cotton wool bloom should be banished to last-gen and burned.

I think it's fair to say that the extent to which you're impressed by these visuals is pretty much the extent to which you're impressed by 1080p60.

[edit] Owing to the YouTube compression I can't tell whether the motion blur is still there and significantly dialled back or cut. Anyone able to confirm?

Sort of feel the same.

I want some next gen damage modeling not just paint texture swaps and mild body deformation. This looks like Forza 4 after you got a slightly better GFX card.

It definitely is the compression, it looks better at 720p in the default window size than 1080p in the larger.

The car looks nice. Environment's not up to the same standard at all though IMO.

Really starting to dislike youtube videos though, after some of BlimBlim's recent captures.

Just want to throw this out there before anyone complains about the sun but it really can be that blinding while racing.

I was watching a comparison video between Project Cars and real life and in the real life side the sun was just as blinding as it is in the Forza videos.

New footage looks great BTW, love the 60fps.
