Anyone notice that there is just as much emphasis in the trailer on indoor locations as outdoor locations? And both look equally detailed?

When you recut this video for your own advertising, please get rid of that crappy tune and replace it with 'BitterSweet Symphony'.

Today being Tuesday, I'm expecting GTA4 ads in movie theaters Friday in the United States. They made note of the price in this one, it only makes sense to do the same thing statewide with a $199 price tag if they are going to talk price.

i went to the parts with a circle them and manually adjusted the ratio in vdub until they were ... circular

If MS is planning on doing a price drop (which they should), they better get on the ball quickly so that the general public knows about it before April 29th rolls around.

A week is all they need. It will be in the paper the Sunday before GTA4, presuming there is a price cut. You can't get the game until the 29th and most will walk in a store to get it. There is plenty time. It's like people were mocking Microsoft just yesterday about their advertising for this game. It is going to get treated as a first party game. That was always the plan. Microsoft starting to advertise this game at this time falls in line with every other major game they have done. Gears ran in theaters about 10 days before launch. They have tons of time.

They will probably do what they did last year. They're gonna ride the GTAIV sales boost until the wheels fall off, and then announce a price drop right before they lose all their momentum.

I also expect a lot of sales from retailers when the rebate checks start coming in.

Except that every previous Xbox price cut has been timed to hit the Sunday circulars, which are leaked at least 2 weeks in advance.

Unless we get definitive word of price cut in the next day or two, it ain't happening. Which will be a massive missed opportunity for MS - but they have been very consistent at missing opportunities lately.

I know. Price cuts go into effect on Monday for Microsoft. I know how their cuts happen and I know CAG gets them like this. We will know soon enough. DLC is great, Price cut is better. It is how they mentioned price that makes me think there is a possibility of it happening.

That's the one thing I dislike about the ad. I even like LCD Soundsystem, so it's not that. I just don't think the music fits. It doesn't have enough oomph, enough power. Bittersweet Symphony would be perfect.

It is not guaranteed that nobody will screw it, but you can do one thing. Instead of posting actual content, start thread with proper title and in the body tell people in bold red color how many posts you need before it's ok to post.
 
Did anyone hear today's Opie and Anthony show? Apparantly Lazlow is going to be bringing production he's done for the game into the show. He'll be playing commercials that he produced that will be appearing in the game.

Should be a good listen!
