Yeah. It still feels weird to me unless it's just a general road map announcement. If it's an announcement of characters I really like then I'll just hold off on buying until the inevitable complete edition. I don't know if WB does this more than anyone else, but it feels that way to me.

WB does it more than anyone else. We're talking about the publisher that announced the pre-order DLC of one of the Arkham games (Knight I think?) before the actual game reveal, after all.

She has a CHANCE. She's alive in the Injustice universe, she has her own ongoing comic series.

To be fair, it was a preorder leak at GameStop for the Red Hood dlc (and mention of Harley dlc) and not an official announcement.

Oh boy there is. For the first game they released a prequel comic set 5 years before the events of the game (they divided it in Years so you have "Injustice year one, Two, Three" etc) then you have Injustice: Ground Zero which narrates the events of the first game. And now, we have another prequel comic for Injustice 2. We're currently at #4. You are in for a fucking treat. The final chapters of Year 2 are fantastic and the whole year 3 is amazing (my favorite year by far).

Also, while this story takes a huge leap from the typical DC status quo, just about every character featured is portrayed as accurate as possible and you get a feel for who each character is and what they're all about. It's a great into to the who's who of DC

Of all the rumored guest characters my pick for the reveal would be Spawn, as he would grab people's attention who don't follow the game that much. (but maybe that's a 90ies kid talking, when Spawn was THE shit). And he is at least a comic book hero, so I guess he at least fits better in the game than MK characters.

Rooting for Starfire just to see what Netherrealm would make her look like.

Batwoman would be great too.

Watchmen is DC. WB owns all DC properties including Wildstorm, yes.

Image is still Image. It's gotten quite big, and is the biggest publisher for independent and creator-owned comics currently AFAIK.

Sandman was Vertigo, which is DC. Lobo is also DC, and he was DLC for the first Injustice.
