My wife works at an attorney's office, so the second this hits court dockets, she's filing a freedom of information request for the family name suing.

You dont need to build anything just lock the main gate during class hours and give accesses to who is entitled to enter, I assume the guard and the admin can pull that, it might not be %100 solution but at least it would've created an extra hurdle.

I'll see your locked gate and raise you a wall, barbed fence, and a moat for a total of 4 extra hurdles. Would that make the state not responsible?

You really think it's right to blame the state for an individual illegally acquiring guns in order to murder other individuals?

State government permitted the weapon used, state law allowed him to go unchecked and untreated, so the state is a legitimate target from a legal perspective.

I know here on GAF people think that nobody should be allowed to sue anyone, but that's not the country you live in or the laws that it operates under.

The state is getting sued because of the public school system. It has nothing to do with the guns.

Main gate? I can't think of a single public school I've seen that is enclosed in a gate.
