Well, you can view the God of War II bonus content right from the XMB under videos. It's a whole Making Of documentary

And to whoever asked: this is a proper HD remake, not just a game upscaled like what the PS3 does.

It looks like the PS3 captures suffer from the PS3 outputting with that weird gamma level that washes things out more than they'd actually appear on your TV screen.

Even if these were 100% representative of the final game, it'd still be worth it for not having to deal with the awful screen tearing.

They use one video capture output for PS2, and something else for PS3. Neither are direct buffer captures (in other words, wait for Gamersyde)

Devil May Cry first!

It's shocking, a version rendered at a higher resolution looks better than a version rendered at a lower resolution then resized too large. :lol

Not to say the games don't look excellent, it's impressive that it's pretty much just a few smoothing filters and otherwise the original assets, and the games still carry themselves so well.

I think it goes a long way in saying how advanced it was for this time and the voodoo that Sony Santa Monica worked on the PS3 really stands up today. It's amazingly good looking...

Hell yes. These HD remake shots look great. Plus, I never played Ico or SotC either so playing those games with this extra polish, plus solid framerate (I've heard SotC can get pretty choppy) I'll jump on them.

Looks great! God of War II shocked the hell out of me when it was basically my first NON-Nintendo game in years. I had no idea how good it was, and after the first 5 minutes, I havent looked back. Its Nintendo level polish through and through.

He is saying that nintendo has a high level of polish to their games, and its the truth. Pull all of the bullshit you want, the fact is that when they want to show off, almost no one can do it like they can.

you get no shadows on GOW1&2 with a ps3 (Pal), the IQ is better but no where near this level:/

I call bull. Sure the Collection will provide a superior graphical experience, but no way in Hades does either PS2 God of War game look that bad on a BC-enabled PS3. I've played through both on my PS3 and was amazed at how crystal clear they looked when upscaled.
