First Mario Strikers Charged art/screens

The first was fun, but only "merely" fun. Not like Mario Tennis or Mario Golf. Hopefully the sequel is even more fun. We'll see. Mario sports games are always ace.

To me it was the other way around.. The core gameplay is king in MSF and it's very very tight, both in single and in multiplayer.

Now that I think to it, I've been playing that game with family from launch day to date!

Except Strikers is a good game. And how can anyone say it looks bad after seeing the video? The characters looked as good as the SSBM intro cutscene

kid is pressing the home button and turning off the game i hope.

(probably stopping the super shots which for some reason shoot 5 iron balls that the goalie targets and blocks like he is shooting a gun or something crazy tarded)

You have the dumbest trolls ever. They're not even infuriating. They just make you look stupid.

Not a fan of all the padding and crap they're wearing. Just keep it clean and simple, similar to Mario 3on3. Other than that it looks pretty decent, didn't play the first one but I really enjoyed Soccer Slam.

That's one of the best title screens I've seen in a while. We've only got offscreen shots to go by, but the graphics look nicely improved from the GC version--go go 3D crowd.

Is this really, truly going to be online?

If they throw in more modes, more options, and stats for characters - that allow for a bit more strategy - cheese down the weapons and tackles a bit, add a little more variety to the playing fields and stadiums (all small things, really) this could be really kick ass.

It just needs more replay value over Strikers. Online could do the trick, of they can figure out how to balance it a bit more and add that extra needed strategy. Otherwise, its tackle tackle tackle red shell tackle tackle etc etc.

First turn off the super strikes, take 2 minute matches, and try to use as little body tackles as possible so you won't give free items to your opponent (slide tackles don't give those items). That's the way I and my friends are playing the game and it's damn much fun, especially on higher difficulty level (and with online the challenge is even better even if not as challenging as you play against human players).

Nintendo should stop posting Wii game images, and just give videos instead. Seriousely, they're a generation apart :lol

OT: Looks great, picking this one up.

Ah, screenshot of the characters and -more interesting- 'unlockable' characters. Next to Donkey Kong, I see Waluigi. Dunno who's next to Waluigi. Then there's Wario and Yoshi (side-view). 3rd character looks like Link (yeah, Link!). Next to the Link-thingy character is Baby Bowser and Pikachu I think. Last character's Ness, maybe?

For those who were asking, Next Level Games is a Canadian game developer based out of the Yaletown area of downtown Vancouver, BC. Some of the employees have worked for Black Box Games, EA and Radical Entertainment. So yeah... not a jippy-joint developer, if you were the least bit concerned about that.

omg that title screen is just awesome. leave it like that. dwling all videos now :)

No. Close, but not quite:

Top, left to right: Mario, Bowser, Peach, DK, Waluigi, some kid (Wii Sports kid?)
Bottom, left to right: Wario, Yoshi, Luigi?, Junior, Diddy Kong, Shy Guy?

It's called Mario Strikers, not Smash Bros Strikers. There's only Mario Uni characters in this one. :p

I so want to be excited for this game--in fact, at one point the GC game was my fifth most wanted title. I was picturing something vaguely like Shaolin Soccer in video game format, except with wacky fields in the vein of Mario Power Tennis.

Then I played it and power shots were a bit too hard to get off, the fields were dull and lifeless, the teammates only slightly less so, and the lack of options for game customization was appalling. If they can improve the title on all of those fronts, then the series has potential.

Edit: Okay, at least you can have variety in your teammates now, so that's one step forward. Now for the rest...

Err....I'm pretty sure that's Daisy. She's in all the Mario sports games and was in the last soccer game so it doesn't make sense to leave her out and that's the only picture that looks like it could be her.

Also, I'm pretty sure if you're playing Wii Spots, "Wii Sports Kid" is going to be you (i.e. a custom cartoon image of your face, as shown with Iwata, Miyamoto, and Reggie at E3--isn't that one of the things the memory in the controller is used for, or am I getting my rumors and facts mixed up?).
