In an attempt to have some fun and show that gamers can adapt this draft is being set up to help all the fanboys here that would like to participate in it to broaden their horizons. You have to throw away your old allegiance and when you are drafted to your new team devote every ounce of your fanboy being to them. If you currently defend one company constantly and troll threads of your evil archnemesis your role will be suddenly reversed.
Just try to remember it's all in good fun and everyone should be able to walk away with some new perspectives.
Rules Rules who's got the Rules
ABSOLUTE ULTIMATE RULE - YOU DO NOT PICK WHO YOU GO TO! ONLY POST WHO YOU ARE CURRENTLY A FANBOY IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE!
1.) Only those posting in this thread that they want to join will be allowed in. This is not forced and participation only. End date for posting of intent to participate will be on Friday Jan 20th at the stroke of midnight (pacific time for those lagging behind us cool eastern time people).
2.) Post your intent and also post your current alegiance. We don't really care if you think your unbias just pick the one you think you lean most towards. And don't cheat, we have daviddayton's uber alegiance list to double check. I will update the list daily with current people.
3.) This all or nothing, the time frame is up in the air but I was thinking of about a month? At least till the next convention like the Sony confrence to get full impact of this. You have to be fully devoted to your new allegiance. No back stabbing, hedging or being nice. No bannable offenses, be smart, but don't be a wussy either. Embrace your new team....they are all you got!
4.) 3 strike rule in effect, any infractions against your "team" can and will be reported and will be judged by the 3 team captains. Third infraction and you are booted off your team and out of the game.
5.) Captains will be chosen on Saturday in a combined vote write in (pm) vote. Choose who you would like to see as captains for each team out of those players and the most votes wins. From there starting on sunday those captains will choose one person a day to draft to their teams till everyone is drafted. Microsoft team gets first pick, then Nintendo and then lastly Sony.
6.) No cash prizes, there may be MVP awards handed out for bragging rights. Just the satisfaction that your team was the most hardcore fanboyish.
7.) Be absolutely sure you want to do this. All or nothing, if you don't think you can go against your own personal bias then don't waste our time. Ask yourself if you are funky enough to be drafted. Are you? ARE YOU?
Also, something that would be awesome and help is once the draft is over if the mods could tag those people with their new allegiances. Just a modest proposal.
