First Official NeoGAF Pokemon Tournament

Same to you, EBCubs. You sure gave me a taste of serious Pokémon battling. :)

(This is confirmation that I was beaten, in case that's not clear.)

I've already read my pm and sent a confirmation.

However, due to things out of my control, I have a feeling I may have to drop this tournament, as much as I don't want to. While there are several more days left to get my team done, unfortunately, I don't think I may be able to bring my 6 up to speed in time, even with a crash course in monster training. If it was 3v3, then sure, it won't take very long but 6 is kinda stretching it.

I'd be willing to help out lol

Just tell me what to breed for IVs and nature and/or ability.. Moves, EV training. I'd be willing to do anything. I have days til my next tourny match and I have nothing else to do.

Maybe you want to raise them yourself, I can understand that. But if so, why not just play in the tourny anyway? Not losing anything..
 
I'll battle my opponent anytime whenever they want.

Or if anyone who isn't EBCubs/Jiggy/FootNinja/Crazymoogle wants to battle for practice, I'm open.

I appreciate the offer but I need to keep my mind off of 'mans to get through this. Though if by some miracle I am able to finish and go back to monster training, then even without full EVs (note I've got Pokerus and Macho Brace), if I can get the moveset I need, I'll be sure to participate. Though as things are going right now, outlook not so good. :(

If you really don't want to play, then you can drop out and give your spot to one of the waitlisters. I'll try and hold another tournament once the Europeans and Australians get their hands on the game. I promise I'll also run it better so people don't get kinda screwed like Kreed did.

Probably a round robin leading into Double Elimination like the Worms tournament.

WiFi has a setting where your Pokemon are automatically adjusted to LV100 for the battle (all stats are scaled, taking into account EVs, IVs, and natures)
 
I have to drop. Heh, I moved into a new apt and found out that the wireless connection isn't good enough for a consistent connection for my DS. So...yea
 
i have PMed my opponent today. no response yet. is there a deadline for him to respond or is it the same deadline as the match?

Well, the tournament hasn't officially begun yet. As long as he responds to you by Monday it's fine. After the tournament starts, I'd like people to respond within a day to keep things moving along as quickly as possible.
 
I only just completed the game this week, so a bit too early for me to sign up, especially if i need to make a great team with decent IVs and EVs.

Hey, could you IV-breed me a Meditite with preferably Adamant nature? If you can't do it in time, just send me the male and female with the best IVs you can find. If the female's not adamant, just the best one.

Ah, crap, sorry for the late response. Stuff came up (finals), so I never got around to responding. My apologies. I'm still in, though.
 
So, assuming I understand the tournament brackets correctly, I'd be up against BorkBork next since he beat JSnake. Are we opening second round matches already when the opportunity comes up, or not until after the first round closes?

Yes you would, but let's wait until the second round has started (seeing as first round doesn't even technically start until tomorrow...). The people in the losers bracket also have no idea who they're playing.
 
Keru_Shiri needed to drop out of the tournament. The replacement player is Kreed. If you have to drop out of the tournament as well, please let me know today!

All battles should be completed by 9:00 PM PDT / Midnight EDT tomorrow.
 
variance and dr3upmushroom have not replied to me yet. Mr.City, you might be replacing one of them and then we'll need another person to hopefully step in as well. If yudaan cannot battle, we'll need yet another replacement.
