Ridge Racer R 3D is coming out for the 3DS thoughTotobeni said:Ridge Racer is a dead franchise, Namco don't give a jack about it anymore.

man ,these sticks position remind me of Gamester FPS Controller and Radica Phoenix sticks , I hope PSP2 is not designed to be FPS/TPS device.
Probably true if you are talking about centsGrampasso said:Over nine thousand

Yes, it was modeled for PSM3 magazine based on supposedly leaked spy shots of the Sony PSP2.AAK said:Wait, so if it was modeled by some random dude, then it was a fake all along? I don't think Sony would be too happy with one of it's employees leaking plausible prototypes to the public.

Those sticks look way to buried into the mold of the system. Would be impossible to get to them with a finger, or using them in any kind of way. Horrible.
Hopefully the analog sticks are asymetrical like on the 360 controller.jonnybryce said:I want the final design to have the two analog sticks in the middle bottom like the dualshock.
I'd like that or have the face buttons and right analog switched back to normal.jonnybryce said:I want the final design to have the two analog sticks in the middle bottom like the dualshock.
Aren't those the genres that need the sticks? lolTotobeni said:man ,these sticks position remind me of Gamester FPS Controller and Radica Phoenix sticks , I hope PSP2 is not designed to be FPS/TPS device.
Kenak said:Why havent handhelds had dual analogue since they started doing 3D titles? With one stick you're stuck with gimped improvised controls like in Peacewalker.
It's why I won't be buying a 3DS at launch.
Well.. PW has the best controls in the series.Kenak said:Why havent handhelds had dual analogue since they started doing 3D titles? With one stick you're stuck with gimped improvised controls like in Peacewalker.

That's for sure, it controlled nice for a PSP game although MGS4 has certainly the best controls.Suzzopher said:Agreed. I find it hard to play MGS1 or 2 after how well MGS4 and PW control.
Isn't the 3DS's touch screen essentially a second analog stick, though?...Kenak said:Why havent handhelds had dual analogue since they started doing 3D titles? With one stick you're stuck with gimped improvised controls like in Peacewalker.

Nope since you can't quickly and smoothly switch between the screen and using the face buttons like you can with an analog stick.dvolovets said:Isn't the 3DS's touch screen essentially a second analog stick, though?...
It still won't be one comfortably and that pretty much rules it out as an option.dvolovets said:Isn't the 3DS's touch screen essentially a second analog stick, though?...

Suzzopher said:Yeah 4 does, but PW certainly has great controls.

Yep, I'm with you. Controlled perfectly. You just couldn't move the camara diagonal, but it's wasn't really needed since it's not a shooter.Suzzopher said:=/ It really does. It takes the excellent controls from Syphon Filter and makes them better. The only problem is that the analogue nub just isn't as good as a real analogue stick. I hope the same controls transfer over with Metal Gear Solid 3 on 3DS.
Nope, not really. A smart camara system will get around that. Stuff like Galaxy and Other M. TP is an example of doing it wrong. Of course, some do, like Monster Hunter.Totobeni said:every 3d game need the dual sticks.
rosjos44 said:isnt the second analog mainly used for Camera Control anyway for a majority of games?
H_Prestige said:Yes. But that is a really important thing in 3D games.
It is, if you design a camara like in Epic Mickey, where you should have a second analogue, but you don't. If the camara is smart, you won't need one. Of course that limits the games than will play good on the system, a second analogue is better.H_Prestige said:Yes. But that is a really important thing in 3D games.
