Yes, looks sort of photoshopped to me. But to my experience, that's normal stuff for releasing early screens of a game. Most of it is real but some of it is "painted on".
How am I supposed to tell if there's even nice textures in this shot? It's been .jpg mauled. Seems like anything that would make this screenshot interesting bears explanation. Generally not the stuff good screenshots are made of.
Ok. Still, vanilla Skyrim does not render even 1/10th of that foliage density.
yeah, that's Aliased Meadows. I've been there before. right on the outskirts of Treemesh City.

Identical trees aside, it looks very nice. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to think about this without seeing it in motion along with a character model though.
Vanilla Skyrim is pretty ugly. I don't care what anyone says.

I am not positive if it has been picked up by a publisher yet. When it does... I would probably expect PC plus next-gen.

Hope this turns out well, looking forward to seeing more CryEngine 3 games.
Name makes me wonder where Mount and Blade 2 is though, if they make it look a fair bit better and keep the same great gameplay and openness I'll be in heaven.

Can't say it has impressed me, but I don't expect great graphics from those guys anyway, but awesome gameplay

I predicting that people will say that it feels sterile/empty because outside ARMA, racing sims, and other sims, we are not used to realistic map sizes.
im personally happy with graphics right now and dont need much improvement
but ive never seen a screenshot and mistaken it for a photograph, so i was responding to the reply about it being a photograph, which is just absurd
Yeah, there needs to be that blue haze in the distance you would see in real life.

Looks good! Hoping therese guys get funded and they can produce a good open world RPG.
The midevil setting has me a bit concerned. Personally I rather see a fantasy RPG. There is only so much you can do with a realistic setting.

It's a hard thing to appreciate honestly.
Not many seem to realize how much bandwidth that dense of foliage is going to zap away. Even with the requisite copying of that data you're still looking at a freaking huge suck on resources. Even while procedurally generated.
It's definitely impressive. Just not Bang! impressive.
