Speaking of Destiny, No Man's Sky is partially what I hoped Destiny would be. I would love a game with the combat and gunplay of Destiny combined with the Universe (even one Solar System would be amazing) of No Man's Sky. I would love to actually jump in my ship in Destiny and fly off to my mission rather than using it as a cute loading mechanic.

On topic, I can't wait to play this next week and I have faith that Hello Games will be delivering a space exploration sim currently unmatched on consoles. No I don't expect the second coming but I have always wanted a game where I could truly go wherever I want. I also can't wait to start discovering and naming as much as possible.

Aside from bug fixes, since they started on the update a couple days after going gold they must already have an update schedule planned with features they probably couldn't get done in time. At least for the first couple updates. . (I jettisoned from the NMS threads a few days ago so I have no idea what's been going on with the leakers and don't care)

Still not sure how someone's supposed to be playing a leaked (and therefore unsigned) build on a retail PS4. I'm assuming Sony would have words with whoever it was if they were using a debug unit.

I have no idea why people are being so defensive about this. I'm not someone who has a strong feeling about this game one way or the other, please stop reading my posts as if I'm trying to attack the game or its devs.





See, this is the part that confuses me. I'm not expecting a list of patch notes - the game isn't even out yet. Why would there be patch notes? Why would they say anything about the content of the patch at all? That's the entire basis for my statement saying: "This (the phrasing of the tweet) could be a response to some of the negative reactions to the leaks."

Given that 99.99% of people don't have the game yet, they don't need to talk about what they're changing or adding. edit: If they did talk about what they were changing, it would only serve to confuse people.

At the end of the day it's a 140 character tweet and there is a limit to how much you can glean from that. If you don't think it's related, that's fine, I just don't understand the defensiveness about the connotation that this could imply he's reacting to the leaks.

Yup, I agree with u. I'm in day 1 and have been waiting for this game since it was announced, but in all honesty, there is no need to mention, balancing etc... Considering most people haven't even played the game. I'm sure without a doubt this update has been worked on well before this "leak", but at end of the day it seems as though they have worded it as they did to address some of the concerns regarding the leaks. Anyways, Super excited for the game. It also has gotten so much hate it's crazy, these threads lol. Who ever is planning to enjoy game , enjoy it, whoever don't want the game then don't buy it. There is way to much unnecessary hate for this game.
