The big question about WA2...how's the music?

Varied, not as good as WA1 IMO, but with 100 different tracks there is plenty to listen to.
The battle theme loops after like 30 seconds and after a while you'll go crazy.

The music in Wild Arms 4 is so refreshing compared to the cluster that was WA Alter Code F

Wait, wasn't the music in ACF pretty much the only part of the game everyone agreed rocked hardcore?

WA3 is still my favorite WA Soundtrack.

WA2's music is pretty decent but it's not great. I'd say it's easily the worst of the WA games but it does have some nice touches here and there.

I thought it was the other way around :lol

So...what's wrong with the music in ACF? As long as they kept it the same as the original, I'm sure it sounds fantabulous. What happened to it?...

I'm really tempted by the game due to the boxart alone...

I just really want to talk more about Wild Arms and RPGs in general. :p BUMP.

Suikoden is awesome! I want Alter Code F if the music is still kickass!

P.S. The original Wild Arms also had one of the most satisfying endings ever and wrapped everything up nicely. AND the credits screens weren't boring!

Mmmm, nostalgia.

Honestly, ACF was incredibly disappointing to me.
If you need to get a Wild Arms, get WA4. It's good fun.
It goes something like...

WA1: 7
WA2: 8
WA3: 7
WAACF: 6
WA4: 8

Sweet, but GodDAMN, they need to ditch these damn "pulled from the pages of Shounen Jump" types of main characters. Maybe they should take a cue from actual Western films and books and make a Shane-like character (leaving out the sci-fi stuff would do wonders too, since their writers don't have a mind for it)

Like I said before, everytime I see a new Wild Arms game I find myself longing for a Firefly-esque RPG. But as you said, the writers of this series don't have even half the mind for it :(

That looks surprisingly good, visually, for a Wild Arms game. I don't believe this news.
I'm just hoping it plays good. If they keep the platforming and same general battle system of WA4, I'll actually pick this up of my own accord.

Well, I hope it's good too. Would be nice to see Wild Arms back as a semi-prominent RPG series, 'cause it was really dragged through the mud imo.

Wait. What system is this for? That looks almost too good for the PS2. Well okay, not really, but it still looks REALLY damn good from those shots.

PS2, so far as we know.

I know these are just early screens, but I really am excited for this game. Going by these shots, we can be assured of great-looking character models and some pretty sweet backdrops as well. I can't wait to see and hear more and for this game to get localized!

I wouldn't take anything from these shots. They look HEAVILY doctored. I doubt it's a fair indication of what the game will look like in play.

hope they get back to the western feeling (nothing is more cool than shoting monster, while you are riding on horses) and quality of wild arms 3
cause wild arms ACF was really ugly and wild arms 4 was meh... lame story featuring weakass girl that is the key of a greater power... total unbalanced character... (there is a reason why raquel is always 2-3 level above your party) hex system is a nice idea but it doesn't add a lot to the game except for some boss battle, in fact the only two thing i liked about the game where the platforming parts and the bad guys since instead of having your usual god of destruction which is evil and bad, you have a bunch of military guys one more weird than the other.

It's not too terribly different looking than WA4, though. Obviously, the image quality is cleaned up here, but the actual visual appearance is very very similar.

Nothing is wrong with it. It has changed, however, which has some people upset. Personally, I think it is the best soundtrack in the series. It's VERY good.

Wild Arms should get a medal for single-handedly keeping the scarf alive!

Looks nice, I like the character design, but I want to see what interpretation of Jack they'll have now, ha.
