First Wonder Woman clip released

Why do you feel Wonder Woman look like a Hogwarts student? Her costume?

EDIT: Oh, the glasses, right?

the setting looks like that smokey old timey London vibe that Diagon Alley gives off

i am into it

pretty wild to feel hopeful about a DC movie fingers crossed guys 🤞🏾

That was meh in almost everything, the acting is pretty poor, I won't talk about Gadot because everyone know she can't act but damn, Pine is so much better than this and what was the body language and sound he made before the headbutt ? like wtf...

the scenery, lightning, choice of plans are terrible, who's directing this shit ? a first class student ? I know superheroes movies aren't really good in those department but Snyder has visual style, something definitely lacking here even if he can't have good story/pacing and shit.

I don't know how the rest of the movie will be but this scene is really bad, it's just a 1 min clip though, doesn't mean the movie will be shit or anything, I'll wait for the reviews but my hype is lower than it was the last time I saw something from this movie and it was already pretty low.

In that overhead shot, can someone tell me what the hell that guy on the far left is doing? lol. im surprised they found an opportunity to throw a muzzle flash in there with those bizarre movements.

Nah I'm just mad that one of my favorite comic characters is going to be portrayed for the first time by someone who cannot act and looks the complete opposite of an imposing mature woman whose sole presence encourages/frightens people (depending on their side) and is more like Taylor Swift in cosplay for one of her videos.

"mature woman".

There's a lot going on here....

"Is there anything else you want to show me?" ... Seriously? Lady just saved young Captain Kirk's ass to a half dozen gun wielding cronies and that's all they could come up with?

By that point he would have been aware that the women of Themiscyra aren't normal. I guess that scene is where he realizes how 'special' (or whatever) Diana is.

It looks alright. It doesn't get me hyped up for the film, but it at least makes me feel confident that it'll be better than the other DCCU movies.

I'm definitely planning to see it in theaters. Having toddlers means that this might be the only movie I see in theaters all year too, lol.

"Huh, it's the bad guy convention."

:/

Armchair edit:
[...]
Henchmen confront and surround STEVE & DIANA as they walk into the alley.

STEVE:
*exasperated*
"Alleyways... always piss or a pistol."

HENCHMAN #1:
*cocks pistol hammer, threatens Steve with pistol*
"Give us the doctor's notebook."

STEVE:
"Alright, alright, I got it. Yeah, if you got a problem going this'll solve it--"
*lunges and somehow snatches pistol out from Henchman #1's hand; surprised Steve cackles in triumph*

*Henchman #1 glances at own hand in shock then back at Steve then headbutts him, who staggers backwards against Diana, who steadies him*

STEVE:
*shields Diana behind him as he moves to level the stolen pistol at the alerted henchmen*
"Get back!"

then henchman shoots and she deflects it, etc., rest of scene was fine and plays out as-was

This is even worse.

Where's my

BRRRRRR NEE NER NEE NER NEE NER

I dunno. It looked fine, which would be a nice step up. There's some minor editing stuff with her position in relation to Chris Pine when she deflects the last shot that kinda irked me, but that's super nitpicky.

I'm liking their chemistry from the little I've seen. I also love how the gender roles are swapped and she's the silent, stoic warrior while he's the gabby comic-relief.

Yeah this seems to be the plan here. She's the hero and he's the sidekick. While that should be enjoyable enough, I can see folks being frustrated that her personality will be limited by the straight hero role.

It will change up quite a few times i think. On her island she is the lead and when they first arrive in London he will be. Wich makes sense. And probably later they will clash in way and she will take lead again.

I made a small change.

I hated it too.
I generally come to these superhero films for funny one liners and awesome fight choreography.

DCU keeps on failing on both.
Considering the fighting and choreography are one of the few praised aspects of these movies, I'm curious as to why you hated it.

Was really digging it, until I turned the sound on. Some really bizarrely delivered lines in the fight choreography department. Gal's "haa!" at 0:22 is super stilted and kinda took me out of the scene.

I get making the movie more campy, but some of the sound effects are very out of place. Hopefully it's just this scene that has that issue.
