We need a gif of the true next gen leaps, being able to jump over railings!

Will import an American physical copy of Yakuza 0 as well as ordering it from my Spanish Playstation Store.
Can't wait for more Yakuza in the west!

Hmm never heard of Yakuza until now, but it looks very similar to Sleeping Dogs, which piques my interest...

Outside looking in, I can understand it looking like that. Most important thing to note tho is the game isn't open-world, or even a sandbox really. There's cities to explore, but they're more really large hubs than a sandbox. When the first game dropped over here in 2005 it got thrown under the bus being called a "Japanese GTA rip-off" which was so far from what it actually was it'd be hilarious... if the notion didn't introduce a stigma against the series over here that lasts to this day.

The best thing to compare Yakuza to is Shenmue, but with a lot more action. It is a true evolution of the Beat-Em-Up genre. Mix that in with a lengthy and really detailed crime-story (most games average 30 hours for the story), cool characters and more side activities than you'll ever want then you get Yakuza.

You'll either love it or absolutely hate it, give them a try if you ever have the chance.

How is it possible for a video game to make me this hard?

Animations may look "stiff", but it looks far more fluid than before, especially interacting with the environment. Glad to see enemies react to those hits too

Wow, looks really nice! But animations still bad, not life-like for sure...

To be fair, I've always liked the animations like this. It's old school beat'em up sorta stiffness.

Looks really solid, I hope this and the Yakuza 1 remake come to the west in the near future. I bought a copy of Yakuza 5 and I plan on buying Zero when it comes out too.

It doesn't mean that she can't be a main character. Haruka's going to be interesting as it'll be the first game where she's an adult if it's a sequel to 5.

I really was hoping it was a new PC. Kiryu's been through enough. Let him legit retire.

Unless this is a bait-and-switch, that'd be great.

Haruka takes off a Kiryu mask.

"Kept ya waiting, ne?"

those look like PS2 animations

I still don't know whether to play Yakuza 4 or start the series with 0 when it comes.(don't tell me to play 4 just because 0 is coming out later, I'm in no rush)

0, because 4 builds on a huge history for Kiryu. Or you can play 5.
(Don't say you have no PS3, we're going to start sending those out as replies to that excuse.)

It's an upgrade sure, animation still looks wooden (no improvement), something I guess I got used to in the old games, but I was hoping for an overhaul when they brought it to PS4. They still have time, will keep it on my radar until then.

Is it just me, or does Kiryu look more like an actual person in this? I don't just mean in terms of graphical fidelity, I mean he looks less like some ideal, perfectly chiseled anime superhuman.

Buying 0 skipping 5..... Don't have a working ps3 anymore ; ;

You don't need a PS3 to get Yakuza 5 :P

I strongly suggest considering getting a PS3 though-
I can't believe I am in 2015 playing a simply designed racing mini game driving a Japanese Taxi vehicle of all things, decal-ed with Idol Haruka on it like i'm some crazed Otaku while blasting DAYTONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, LET'S GO AWAY as I Heat wheelie between 2 trucks through a friggin' highway.

People really love putting shots of their characters sidling through a narrow passage, huh? I noticed this in the FFVII and FFXV trailers, haha. Game looks really good.
