If I'm not a fan of South Park (as in, I've never seen it), should I still get the game, or is it something mostly for fans?

What type of humor do you like? A lot of the jokes are SP references but there's still a lot that's funny without SP knowledge, if that type of humor is your thing.

Otherwise the gameplay is competent but very simplistic and way too easy.

Nocturne, but be warned it's difficult. I found DDS underwhelming myself in both gameplay and story.

it's been free in japan already. I'd say it's a matter of when, not if.

Yeah, it's definitely a game for fans. I'm not sure it'd appeal much to people who don't *like* South Park. If you merely haven't kept up with it or watched it much, but like that style of humor, you'll enjoy it.

It's the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger in DDS2 =/

Don't worry, everyone buying at $5 will be angry too when it's free on PS+ in 4 months.

Anybody angry that a game they bought for cheap can be found cheaper or "free" months later is being unreasonable. Having a game's price drop to 1/3 of what its most recent sale price was less than a month after said sale is a bad business tactic that serves to undermine consumer confidence in that merchant.

Never noticed any frame rate issues with Nocturne, enjoy it, the gameplay and OST is super good.

Bummer to hear DDS is a shitty port.

Have had some really bad frame drops and other visual issues in Nocturne's more hectic moments (hitting 6 enemies with a berserk, etc.), but nothing game breaking.

I actually ran into less issues with DDS and never had audio issues with DDS, but the game did freeze on me once. So to anyone that picked up DDS, just a warning to save frequently
