Im watching this episode now, and WTF. You happen upon a chess website, where they store the move sets for people, which then translates to morse code, which then correspond to a cell phone number.... and then the guy's voice mail says "good job" and hangs up. :lol
Eh, gonna have to disagree with you there. 24 doesn't have good storytelling (too many bad subplots required to fill up 24 episodes each season), it is only the action and Sutherland's general awesomeness that makes it watchable. FF's story is bad too, falls under the neat idea but poor execution. Too many weak characters and too many problems with the central plot.
Up to this point there has been all this drama about her possible pregnancy.
Now, knowing she's a mole for the bad guys, that all seems ridiculous.
Who cares if you have the baby .... you're evil.

Well, I didn't like the twist. I need something to actually happen with the story. I feel like they're stuck in the same place since Charlie and the other guy said they were the probable cause for the blackout, and that was like 5 or 6 episodes ago.
This was easily the worst episode since the last one with Keiko.
As much as I like some parts of the show, there's too many crappy B-plots and gargantuan leaps of logic in the central investigation.
The Janice twist is kind of dumb, but the little I know about James Callis' upcoming role makes me think her character arc could be pretty interesting.
Why do people have a problem with there being 2 moles? If you are willing to believe that the bad guys have the ability to place a mole in the FBI, then it only seems logical that they would have a backup plan in place. It cracks me up that people who are willing to accept the insane plot holes in Lost are complaining about the plot of FF. I really hope that ABC decides to bring this back next year, I think that it is really building to something great and I hope they get the chance to flesh everything out.

I bring up Lost because so many people bring up FF in the weekly Lost threads, and in this thread also. I dont think this show is trying to be Lost because it seems like they are actually trying to explain stuff and not just say magic.

I'm still enjoying this show. It has some pretty bad dialogue and poor character development, but the show's plot keeps me intrigued. I don't think it would be that bad of an idea for them to trim the fat and cut out some of the lesser characters, but maybe they have more relevance to the overall plot than we currently know?
Flash Forward is what I imagine LOST would have been if they focused more on progressing the plot and giving answers rather than turning it into a character drama. Shallow, but enjoyable if you can get past the that.
I love it, I dont want them to change a thing. Even the characters that dont matter, like the male nurse, still have interesting stories. I am really curious to see how everything will work out with everyone.
Like most it seems, I've only really kept watching this since the first episode to see just how bad it gets, so I've not been paying too much attention to how all the bits and pieces are supposed to fit together, but...
aren't there potentially 3 moles? Given that we know the CIA guy - who just happened to be heading the mole hunt with Mark DUM DUM DUUUUM - is going to try and have him whacked at some point? Or did I just misread that whole scene and he was just reporting that he'd been told that Mark had died?
But even then, how would he know so quickly if he wasn't some sort of mole? Despite the fact that Mark obviously didn't actually die.

Is it just me, or is it incredibly bothersome how Olivia is now pursuing Lloyd (who she barely knows) after just separating from Mark a day or so ago... and it's not like they separated because they didn't love each other.

That was definitely one of the best episodes of the show, imo, and sets up what would happen over the next few seasons if the show were to miraculously not get shit-canned.
James Callis had an Alan Dale moment, where you knew he had to show up in the few remaining minutes because his name was in the opening credits. What a weird (and probably dumb) role for him.

It's a pretty cool premise, and all signs point to at least one more wide-scale blackout/FF in the near future. It was also fairly significant in that the previous villains aren't necessarily bad people; in the book (and presumably up until now) it was all for financial gain or power. Now we know that there's something genuinely horrible that at least some of them have been trying to prevent. How long have they been flashing, and did they view the GBO as necessary to potentially avert the end of the world? And why was Dyson killing the savants that were widely used in the Red River flash experiments? It's all psychohistory, or something like that.
I'm kind of disappointed that D. Gibbons is dead, as I rather liked his role in the story. Fortunately, he'll probably return in a whole bunch of flashbacks.
Also...
The freshman series return after a long layoff is inching upward. Growing by double-digits week to week among Total Viewers (12%) and Adults 18-49 (+14%), ABCs FlashForward drew its biggest overall audience in 4 weeks since 3/25/10.
In a bold move to secure a fan excuse bingo square, the presumed to be canceled Flash Forward topped the % increase in ratings by DVR viewing rankings for the week, boosting its adults 18-49 rating by 43%, just ahead of frequent DVR % rankings leader 90210 in second place with a 42% increase.
latest ep was really good - glad some of the plot points were resolved. Honestly, after they stopped filling the episodes with filler the core story seems really interesting - I do hope they carry on.
Somebody needs to make FlashForward: Abridged Edition that edits out almost all of the hospital shit. The early episodes would be so much more tolerable without them.
