So where are these ads supposed to show up? I've been browsing a few photostreams and have yet to see any. And no I'm not using adblock.
Impossible. That way it'd take 291 years to fill up the 1TB of free space.Yep, you're limited to 300 MB in uploads a month unless you buy-in.

Nah, I think the 291 years scenario is way more likely. That was just some left over copy, and the cap didn't get lifted immediately yesterday. It should be good to go.
Ha. Yeah, I got hit with the cap yesterday and just assumed Flickr was telling me the truth.Impossible. That way it'd take 291 years to fill up the 1TB of free space.
1tb means this is now where I store every single one of my photos. Curious to see if google steps up with picasa
Picasa is gone. The focus is on Google+ Photos now.

Which is a shame, because I find Picasa upload more reliably and the UI is more straightforward. While outdated and ugly, the backend is much better.
The backend is the same between the two services.
What I really want is Flickr's storage with Google's "Awesome".
Really? I always have to end up going through Picasaweb to upload because Google+ keeps on getting error when uploading a large number of files.
So, as of now, if you have a Pro account, you will be able to keep it permanently at the current price. Even if you have a one-year Pro account, and not a recurring one (I think you would've had to have either received it as a gift, or manually canceled out of auto-renew), they're giving people the option to switch to a recurring one to keep the benefits. Seems fair. Obviously, the free accounts are much improved over what they used to be, but I think I'll still stay Pro for the stats and no ads. Plus, since I won't ever be paying for XBL Gold again, $25 a year ain't bad.As of May 20, 2013, we are no longer offering Flickr Pro subscriptions to the majority of our members. Some things to be aware of (with more details below):
Recurring Pro members currently have the ability to continue renewing at the same price.
Eligible Pro members can get a prorated refund for a limited time.
Eligible non-recurring Pro members can purchase a recurring Pro subscription.
The “Gift of Pro” will no longer be available for purchase.
Pro users will no longer appear with a “Pro” badge beside their name or buddy icon
Your Pro pricing remains the same and your benefits have improved:
Those who remain Pro will retain all their original benefits.
The photo and video size limits will be upgraded to those offered with our new free account.
If you are on a recurring Pro subscription, your payments will remain as is. To see what your current subscription costs, see the previous payment on in your order history.
Pro members will never be automatically transitioned to an Ad Free or Doublr subscription.
They just updated their Pro FAQ: http://www.flickr.com/help/limits/#150487675

This redesign really is terrible. Everything is to overblown and there no option to scale things down. Also the infinite scrolling is grating my nerve. Has anyone found a way to gain some of the old visual style back?
So, what's your flickr account url anyway?
On a side note: I moved all my old frames photos out of my flickr pro account into a separate flickr account after marriage. A couple years later, I have completely forgotten the user name. Now I can't get those photos back.![]()
People said there would be nudity on Flickr. They lied.

Most of the photos in my photostream have a "Restricted" safety level, so you need to be logged in to Flickr and have your settings modified to view Restricted content to be able to see them.
To edit your settings to view Restricted photos:
1. Hover over your Profile Picture in the top-right corner and then click on "Settings".
2. Select the "Privacy and Permissions" tab.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for "Content filters".
4. Under "Search settings" next to "Safesearch" click "edit".
5. Turn Safesearch off (You must be over 18) and save your settings.
