So I have to visit some relatives out of the country and tickets are ridiculously expensive, the only semi-reasonable flight I found was through Flint Michigan, never been there before.

I just bought the tickets and after doing some research I find that Flint it is one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S.

Will my family and I be ok? I have a 2 year old baby girl and im worried about her as well as parking my car in the park-and-fly for 15 days.

I cant cancel the flight, its a non-refundable ticket, am I fucked?

Jesus OP, are you that sheltered? Your family is not going die in your short stay in Flint. I don't know what the most dangerous city in the world is (that you can actually fly to), but even with a layover to that city, you'd have a 99.9% chance of coming out unharmed. You'll be fine...

In Detroit basically if you don't do dumb shit, you'll be fine; don't walk around flossing, don't wear the wrong colors on the east side, don't look at another dude's girl, and if you're walking around at night at least look like you can defend yourself.

Bah, thats over-stating it a bit, Bishop is right off the Miller road shopping area, the only area of flint that has a ton of money. As a result thats where all the police presence always is.

Now if you going to flint to visit mott community college or the UM flint campus, then you would have cause for concern. Right on the UM flint campus in the only place I've had a gun pulled on me. Interesting first 2 years of college Ill tell ya.

Kind of have to hang around, need to stay in a hotel one night before catching the flight, also need to park my car for like 15 days somewhere near the airport.

Any tips on safe hotels/parking would be appreciated.
