Big stupid American Sushi rolls. You don't need to fry everything and put mayo on for it to be delicious.

Or slather it in BBQ sauce.

The Japanese prefer to use very simple ingredients. Eating those giant, humongous, fake rolls is like putting ranch on your pristine steak.

I get what you say about the Japanese making a more "simple" sushi. But most sushi restaurants in the States don't have access to high quality seafood and if they did their customers most likely wouldn't want to pay for a high quality sushi that only contains a good cut of fish and rice. That being said, I personally enjoy the more extravagent rolls made with fried this, spicy that, and mayo this, lol. But in the same breath, offer me an expensive-ass cut of some high quality tuna belly sashimi and not only will i order 10, if it's good enough I'd probably let the sushi chef fuck my sister.

I'll never forget when a new, trendy sushi restaurant opened next to my brother-in-laws pizza shop in a really touristy spot in Madeira Beach, FL. They had a roll called the "Rocket Roll" which essentially was a spicy tuna roll that was rolled in Blue Raspberry Pop Rocks. I'm not even gonna lie, I absolutely loved it. Whoever came up with that had to have been smoking some really good cannabis when they came up with that one.

Boo this man

Cow liver. Soy based vegan imitation foods. Fuck that noise

Has op only had the canned stuff or the sweet stuff. Because that is sickly.

Raw onions, celery, tomatoes?
What the hell.

Dude just no.

I think I eat the most hated foods in this thread so far on a regular basis.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Freaking love how you just gave up here ahhaha lmao.

Im with you man, Im like "what the hell I eat all this stuff all the time!"

I know many people who despise onions but I really enjoy them. I would say the only food that makes me gag at the thought of ingesting it is tomatoes. I have no problem with tomato sauce (I don't know how I would get by if I did) but tomatoes themselves are the most nauseating commonly eaten thing on this planet.

I used to be picky when i was a teen.

No im luckily over it.

Childish pickiness is a HUGE turn off.

I used to not like:
Onions, peppers, tomatoes, avocados, bananas, strawberries, olives, pickles. And more.

Being able to eat and enjoy everything is awesome.

My philosophy is if billions of people like it, it is probably good and im just being childish. It's psychological. Some things are an acquired taste but it's worth it.
Well of course you think it's childish since you used to hate things like strawberries and bananas.

Calamari is so chewy that I find it inedible, and it doesn't event taste good. Unless I've just had bad luck with restaurants.

Also: carrot juice. I like sweet things, but carrot juice is a gross kind of sweet. Love raw carrots though.

Sandwiches with a bunch of toppings. Just give me a good slice of white bread with a dab of butter and slice of cheese and I'm good to go.

Most carrot juice I can find tastes awful (and as you said, grossly sweet), but Odwalla's carrot juice is one of my favorite drinks.

Definitely bad luck, rubbery=overcooked

It's one of the only seafood type things I eat and when it's made right it's

sprinkled with some lemon...drool.

Celery and Baked Beans.

Celery is so barf-inducing. There's nothing worse than buying a pasta salad only to discover that they use celery to pad out the mixture. Taste like I'm eating dirts.

Baked beans, I can tolerate but I'd rather have Chilli without it. Also, red beans in Matcha (green tea) drinks and desserts are gross. I love Matcha but spare me the red beans.

I'm not a fan of raw mushrooms. The consistency and taste just kind of make me ill. I am getting warmed up to sautéed mushrooms though.

Also, cooked carrots and broccoli. Just too mushy for me. I like them raw, though.

Sweet chili sauce. And everything that's both salty and sweet.

Why would someone hate sweet potatoes? Simply put the whole one into the oven and bake for 40 minutes to 1 hour. Peel and eat. So tasty.

I can pretty much eat and drink anything, but olives. Just hate them.

I used to hate them, but I was only exposed to the black olives on pizza or the green olives they serve with drinks. Then I recently came across Castelvetrano olives and was blown away. They're bright green and have a sweet, buttery flavor - nothing like you'd expect. I still don't like the other kinds.

Those sound good. I'd wage I'd be the exact same as you.

Alcohol. And I'm not against it or anything, but the taste of it just makes me want to throw up. I've had people give me drinks where they swear you can't taste the alcohol at all, but I can always taste it, and it's awful. Instead of trying to explain this to people now, I just tell them I have an intolerance and I can't drink it.

Catfish. I like every other seafood I've ever had. Tilapia, Cod, Bass, Tuna, Perch? All good. Catfish tastes like a fish that's been dragged along the bottom of a river.

Bananas. They reek, they have a gross texture, and they taste awful. Unfortunately for me they're the most convenient fruit to eat.

Like this?

I've learned there's an entire continent of mythic, God-like people that eat this. It apparently makes them incredibly smart and infallible.
