For those of you who have pre-ordered: How was your Switch Pre-order experience?

Pretty seamless, thanks to Wario. Hit a little snag because in my rush to secure a pre-order I just used the first CC that popped up which was my dad's since he uses my Best Buy account often and I figured I could change the method of payment. When I try to do this I find out that Best Buy does not offer me the option to do so - which sucked- I freaked and quickly went back to the site to put down another pre-order using my CC.

So now I have two pre-orders and I'll definitely keep my own and also keep the the one I initially made because the American capitalist in me feels that these things will be hard to find around launch and I may wanna resell the other Switch for a bit of coins. :p

Quite easy. Kept refreshing Amazon last night and it eventually popped up and I was able to get it easily.

Had to choose my parents house as the address since I'm probably going to be moving out of my apartment and getting a condo or house literally the same week that the Switch comes out. Had to pick an address I knew wouldn't be changing.

Also preordered Zelda on Amazon and got the Prime pre-order discount which is also great.

Has it been mentioned you get 200$ credit for a Wii U at gamestop?

Walked in, no line, only the 2nd person to order a neon switch red/blue. They told me about the bonus, I left tire marks to grab my dusty Wii U.

$100 to upgrade feels pretty great. After pre-ordering I kind of realized how LITTLE they played up the fact that it's 100% portable. Hope it can use a portable battery like one of those $20 10000mAh brick things.

Still not even sure what launch title to get. I just didn't want to get f'd if they are hard to grab at launch. I hope there is a good amount of tablet like apps (webbrowser). Could be a nice tablet substitute when the wife has the iPad. 720p tho...

Wow combine that with my 3DS and i'll have it payed off.

There were 52 units allocated to my GameStop. 11 people were in line, so I managed to pick one just fine along with Zelda Master Edition.

Pretty easy. In Store pick up at my local Best Buy when the page went live. Also preordered on Amazon just in case something happens to my Best Buy order but I'll most likely cancel that one.

Got a Best Buy preorder in. They charged my card and updated the release date (was notified via email), so hopefully I'm good to go.

One click purchase on Amazon, took less than a minute lol.

That's what I did too. Although I will keep my 2 Best Buy preorders for now in case something goes wrong. I already canceled my Walmart one.

I'm glad I got everything on Amazon, including Zelda Master edition and Special edition. I'll give it time to decide which version I want before canceling one.

Went to amazon.de, laughed at the price, started to cry a little, pre-ordered anyway, searched for the Zelda CE, realized that EU's CE misses all of the cool stuff, cried a little, pre-ordered anyway.

No idea if I'll keep any of this. Might just cancel the orders sooner or later.

Just pre-ordered at Target.com. Wanted the neon version, had to settle for gray. Zelda sold me on the console. Yes, I could play it on my Wii U but I can take the switch with me and play it on my lunch break or whenever I feel like slacking.

One pre-order at Amazon, one for store pickup from Best Buy Online, and 2 in-store at Gamestop.

I legitimately need three (take heed those who plan to have kids...when you raise them loving games this is the shit that happens) and have one as a back up.

edit: Should add there was something awesome about taking my son to pre-order his first system in person.

I initially pre-ordered the grey Switch on Amazon, then cancelled it and pre-ordered the neon one. Then I went to Game because I wanted to see if they were doing a midnight launch, turns out they are, so I pre-ordered a neon Switch there too just to be safe. I'll probably cancel the Amazon one nearer release. I really wanted Puyo Puyo and Bomberman but Game didn't have either up for preorder, so I went looking in other shops. Argos and HMV weren't even doing Switch preorders to begin with. I gave up and preordered Bomberman off of thegamecollection.

I'm not going to buy any more games or controllers until the prices go down. The Game people nearly tricked me into buying Zelda until I saw it was £60. And if they don't go down I'll pick some up at the Game midnight launch like I did with the OG 3DS midnight launch in 2011 because they're bound to have them in stores by then. If I cancel the Game preorder instead of the Amazon one, I get my £20 deposit back as store credit that I can just use on games at the midnight launch anyway.

I clicked refresh on Amazon UK around 7am until it was available to pre-order and ordered it withint 5 seconds of it going up. Easy.

The gamestop near me had 46 pre-orders and a sign on the door about limited quantities. Was able to get in my pre-order about an hour after they opened.

Clerks said that most of the pre-orders were already claimed, but the store seemed pretty empty (must have missed the rush...if there was one). Only had two people in line before me.

Dropped some cash on Zelda, Splatoon, Mario, Isaac, Mario Kart, Arms....and 1, 2, Switch. I know I'm going to regret 1, 2, Switch, but the Warioware vibes I got from the conference persuaded me to give it a shot.

Final thoughts: I'm really excited for zelda and think the console has promise, but tbh I got it for that megaten game...

Bestbuy no sweat. Amazon no sweat. Even got the master edition. Of course this was at 3am est. So far this launch window of the first day seems to be going pretty smooth. It will be telling by the end of the weekend.

Popped into Gamestop around noon. They received 22 pre-orders to sell, and there were 3 left when I arrived. No fuss, no muss. But I'd br surprised if any place will have them by end of day.

Other than hardcore games, the market awareness of the switch seems to be very low. Local gamestop was allocated 20 I was the 16th to preorder at 1 pm. Meh. Still can't believe they asked to preorder Mario...

Amazon did me no good

Best buy was sold out

Target didnt have the red blue i wanted but i preordered the grey one.

Then i remembered i have a mall 1.5 miles from work with a gamestop in it. Took my break at 10:15 to drive there, walked in, GS employee said, "nintendo switch?" I said "yup!" I preordered my blue/red console and left easy peasy.

Cxl my target one.

It was pretty damn easy experience going to GS

preordered on Best Buy...and then Amazon..

Will cancel one closer to launch. I am off that weekend, so probably the amazon one.

It's been a'ight. Pre-ordered Neon from bestbuy first, then cancelled when I got a Grey from Amazon. Hoping Amazon will put up Neon soon so I can get that and cancel the Grey.

Pretty easy. Went to a Gamestop that's in a mall that's pretty empty. Most of the stores inside are closed and the Sears there is closing this month.

System has been very available in the Netherlands. Bought it at one store first, then found a cheaper place, cancelled the preorder at the first and put it in at the second store. I also preordered the Zelds Special Edition until I realised I live in Europe and we only get lame ass collector's editions, so I cancelled it again (dammit Nintendo, I want the awesome Switch case that comes with the special and master editions in NA, but Europe doesn't get it).

Got from Best Buy and shipping it to my apartment

Preordered within first 10 min, payment was blocked by my credit card company but I updated my info a few minutes later

My console is still preordered but it doesn't say "Get it by March 3rd" like everyone else's instead it's just "we'll notify you as soon as we ship it"

I want it at launch so I'm pretty bummed, waiting for the Neon on amazon to go live and I'll just go with that instead since I have Prime. But we'll see

Simple. I clicked pre-order on Amazon and I was done. Only a little bit miffed that the neon joycon version isn't available for pre-order yet.

I got three preorders in, Target, Best Buy and Amazon.

I'll cancel Target since it's just standard shipping and probably go with Best Buy since I can pick it up first thing in the morning (ya know, since that might be a day off or something).

Walked into the eb games I worked at early and talked to my friend while he was opening. Got my pre-order then I ended up working 4 hours because we got swamped with calls and pre-orders about the switch. It's weirdly hype.

Pretty easy, I pre-ordered the boring grey one then later on the day I changed my mind and switch for the superior Neon Red and Blue one.

I was expecting it to be sold out.

Managed to get one from Best Buy fro In-Store pickup about 15 minutes after the presentation ended, no hassle at all! I was chatting with 3 of my friends online and we all go them from Best Buy no issues at all.

Preordered a bundle on GameStop and got one in person as well just showed up 45 mins ahead and got one of 6 Multi colored units 20 others were black. Debating on keeping the bundle in case anyone wants one at launch and can't get their hands on it/GameStop store fucks up.

I was on a Reddit Nintendo discord last night and I clicked the Best Buy link when it went up. Picked Neon and finished the order fairly quickly. Got an email from Best buy that it'll be ready on 3/3.
