I accidentally purchased that fucking 40 below Kameo icon because I'm an idiot that doesn't pay attention. I'd delete it but I left it on my HDD to remind me to never ever do that again.

God it's such a terrible icon.

Well actual, in this case it is a microtransation. GW should be unlocked free, and in the LIVE ARACDE, from PGR3. He just payed twice for something he already owns. :P

That's precisely why I am afraid to buy 360 credits, one false move or a night of drunkenness and I've got a HD full of barbie time wallpapers.
 
Anyway to use a custom image as my Gamertag avatar? I hate the defaults, and refuse to fucking buy 'em.

That said, I bought Geometry Wars too, and despite myself, it's pretty great.

For the time being you won't be able to unless Microsoft decides against better judgement to allow it. You won't even be able to use the SOON-TO-BE-RELEASED webcam for custom avatars. At least you can use any picture you want as a custom OS background. Wish they would allow you to set different pictures for different menus.

Custom Avatars + Xbox Live users = playing a round of PDZ with 31 testicle-faced cherubs

I swore to never MICROTRANSACTION, and so far I'm holding out. But if an arcade-perfect port of Killer Instinct ever ends up on Xbox Live Arcade... *gulp*...
 
I am THRILLED with Live Arcade. It IS Microtransactions. The whole idea is stuff that you can buy cheaply. You can't catagorize when we will likley be getting guns, cars, maps, and yea, gamertiles and outfits. Stuff that was done AFTER THESE GAMES WERE SHIPPED.

How is that stuff that is "supposed to be free". These folks could have moved onto the next projects, but there are a lot of launch teams now working on addl content. And I will be THRILLED to pay for a lot of this stuff.

I fully agree that stuff heald back to see later is wEAksause. But stuff that is being worked on now... bring me cars, guns, maps, and new modes for the launch games. I have points in hand.

Face it, we were wrong about this shit. Crow please...

It's worked for me so far...

Seriously though, if my cell phone service that charges for every bit of data I try to move from one location to another can let me put my own pics as wallpaper on my phone, MS should let me use my own pic for my Gamercard. Maybe they are afraid of all the porno avatars that would show up. They probably just enjoy making me feel like a walking wallet.

After only 1 hour of gametime, my high score is at 550,300. Don't know if that's good but I'm not going to bed tonight until I break 1 mil.

the difference is, I dont have to see the gay porn on your cell phone, the rest of us wouldnt be so lucky on Xbox Live.

Definetly a good start. Not naming names, but some Gaffers have had the game for a month and haven't gotten their score that high.

Uh, no. GW in Live Arcade and PGR3 is only the demo which ends after 4 minutes and has no Leaderboard/Achievements. He bought the full game, which is well worth the $5.

If something happens to your hard drive/360, you can recover your account on another Xbox and redownload without paying again.
 
After 2 hours of game time, I now have a high score of 963,730. I am almost there boys.

Edit: I am now ranked 706 on the leaderboards and #1 on my puny friends list
