These are the same kind of people that brought us "Everyone's battlefield." Who are they targeting with this protag? The maybe 5% of all gamers (black females)? Its all about the agenda anymore, they don't even care if they lose money, or more realistically, not make as much as they could as long as they feel like the agenda is being represented. I just wish they would go recent assassins creed and let us choose the sex (don't care about the race).

I don't want you banned at all. I don't do that kind of calling out. We all have opinions. So, when someone says something as bad as you stated above, it's my opinion that others that don't share that thought need to publicly state it. Otherwise, some may get the idea that thoughts like yours are the majority around here (and it's not).

You are mistaken if you think he is trying to get you banned for disagreeing with you. He's an excellent and long time poster who I have agreed with many times, and disagreed with many times. The way I see it there's room enough in the game industry for all types of people. There's still plenty of games with white leads and plenty of games with male leads.

If Dread is not woke and has a main character that doesn't show skin, then Forspoken must not be woke either.

I wouldn't claim this game is woke because it's a female lead. It just looks bland all around and its choice of a female POC seems like just more uninspired laziness.
That said, it's months out and could be awesome, but they certainly didn't do themselves any favors releasing 4 minutes of grunting through boring environments with whatever that hell dialogue is.

How can they think it's a selling point to the majority of gamers to go on about how the main character is a woman and a black person? That's as insane to me as trying to sell a game by going on about how the main character is white and a man. It's no less creepy. And with all their focus on that, how interesting/flawed do you think this character will be allowed to be? I mean, it has to represent black people and women, who must be treated with reverence at all times. You can already see how this weird focus has led to a really dull design for the main character.

Basically, massive red flags all over here.

You're so right about those consultants. Boy I can't wait to play this game after the story was filtered through a bunch of ideologically possessed grifters - I bet they are going to do wonders for it. Who needs people with an understanding of writing and characterization when you can have DEI consultants who use words like Latinx and have pronouns in their bios to tell you how to be more culturally sensitive and not upset liberal/leftist sensibilities. Well it's the FFXV team so expectations were never particularly high for this.

DQ11 was great, FFXIV is getting a lot of love and personally I enjoyed FF7R despite some glaring issues. I'm also excited about XVI, with a "fresh" face directing and Yoshida producing it's the first time in a long time I've been excited for a mainline FF.
