Forza Horizon 3 is now up for preload on PC

Nope. I manage it doesnt pop up as an option because Manage button involves finding it in our Library which the game doesnt appear in.

When I click it it takes me to My Library but it is not there.

Ah nevermind got it now. When I clicked the Regular version that was shown on "In this Bundle" it took me to a page that said install. Didn't do that before lol
 
Are there any pre-order incentives for the PC? I'm somewhat interested in the game but I want to wait to see if how this is 1) On the PC in general and 2) What issues there might be from being a Win10 Store game.

Ironically I can install it on my Surface Pro 3 (lol), but on my Xbox One it still shows the "Preorder" button when I look at the Ultimate Edition and there's no way to install it. I'm impressed at how difficult they're making it to preload my Ultimate Edition, especially considering it went gold on the XB1 forever ago.

Edit: FINALLY my Xbox is letting me download it.

I paid $164 for the game and don't even care. Selling the physical copy I bought for the preorder bonuses and will be playing my digital one.

The Horizon games are worth it.

I had to pause the download for a while, so that I could watch a video my friend sent me... and when I tried to resume the download, an error occured (didn't wrote down the code) and now it is starting from 0 again.

16gb lost (4 hours in my 10Mbps connection). :(

Lesson learned, won't pause it anymore now.

First Forza Game I've ever purchased.

Last console racing game I ever bought was Sega GT 2002... I guess it will still be the last console racer I've ever bought since I'll be playing this on PC.

I'm diving into the Ultimate Edition.

Curios, what's wrong with Apex? Runs at 4K 60fps for me.

Yep, this worked for me. Install button appeared now following this method.

Downloading now. Woohoo!

I'd love to know if there is an option to lock the fps at 120 or 144... or is it just 30, 60, uncapped?
 
Turns out it was not installed on my end even though I was seeing Play.
Downloading it now though.

Unrelated but related question, is there any way to change the install location for MS games?

I am definitely leaving FH3 on my main SSD, but I am low on room and Gears 4 is massive. So just curious if there is a way to move the install location for it?

30-60 for FPS choices

Performance is rock solid 60 but its capped. Drops when in the full static loading screens but then solid 60
Those settings in pic are used

Running a i75820k at 3.9
GTX 1080 founders
32 gigs

Also recording in obs on seperate drive at 40mb 1080p

In the WIndows 10 settings you can change the default install drive under System -> Storage. You can also move individual apps via System -> Apps & Features.

From the other thread Karak said the game only offers the option for 30 or 60, no unlocked frame rate option. =/

Start menu > Settings > Storage

Look under "Save Locations"

??? Had no issues with it on all 3 of my rigs...and one of them is about 4 years old

Game runs beautifully...could your hdd be on the fritz?

Thanks for the answer! lots of great info.

The pc u used is way more powerful than mine but the pics alone are good info :D

Hopefully I can get constant 60 fps on high with my rig

There's definitely a common stuttering problem people get in that game. I didn't when I tried it but a lot of people with good systems do.

I have stutters in APEX, as well. GTX 970, 144hz Gsync Monitor, game running off an SSD. Only thing that seems to solve the stutters is locking the dynamic performance target to 60...which then seems to lock the FPS to around 72 for some reason.

I'm hoping Horizon is a slightly smoother experience than that.
 
Got APEX to run pretty good on my Titan Pascal, GTX 980m, and GTX 960m. I had to turn off GSYNC on my for my TITAN rig to get rid of the framerate antics
 
OK VERY happy with performance right now. REMEMBER FOLKS its early I will post some footage to my channel and here later.
BUT I have an older driver and it gives me a warning about it. I am able to skip that anyway. I had friggen MSAA @8 lol so during busier times it did drop. Right now running it 1440p clean with no MSAA and absolutely locked.
Going to also update the driver to the one it requests.
 
Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow and the store will be sorted and can get to preloading finally.

Killer instinct actually had a problem with some new content recently that is supposed to be fixed tomorrow... wonder if it's the same issue.

I got stutters in some games when they were installed on a ssd...maybe try moving it
