Yeah dude, I mean... FH5 doesn’t feel like a game that stuff was deliberately cut out of before release. Plenty of games out there where DLC clearly feels like something that should have been in the base game to begin with, but FH5 is already huge as it is. And it’s not even been out a month, so hearing about DLC so early just surprised me a bit, that’s all.
I understand what you are saying, but thats irrelevant to DLC. Its made to make money. Thats literally the easiest way to understand any of this. Nothing about "deliberately cut" or "should have been" etc, the DLC is made to make money period, its not by happenchance, its not based on if the game has less content, its not to give you something in place of something else out of the kindness of their hearts, its to make money.
When we got to the point of entire teams being made solely for post launch content, the notion of this whole "deliberately cut" should have been gone too. We can make that assumption when DLC is a new thing or something like "wooooow folks are buying that horse armor, slow down and cut that new jet pack and save it for this...DLC you call it?" lol When its been here for generations and whole ass teams make post launch content as their primary thing...the idea that something is cut is not only silly, it doesn't even make sense. Why would they need to cut anything if a team is already tasked with that post launch content in the first place? As in..its not an accident, its not happening based on a reaction, its not happening based on not enough content, its happen cause the publisher wants more money and already has a team making new content made to be sold afterwards. So if its already planned or in some planning phase, it means the concept of "should have" will never make sense to something that was literally planned to NEVER be in the main game in the first place.
So lets say this DLC is a different place or a set of new cars or something, if that portion of the team has some new idea they are talking about right now, it means it wasn't going to be in the main game at all, was planned after and even if it was planned during the main game.....its irrelevant as the post launch teams job is to plan content for DLC, not the main game. I'm willing to bet all the money I ever make that they already had a team planning DLC before this game ever released, as why the fuck would they NOT be planning it to have it ready months after launch? To benefit whom? lol When you know its just for money, it makes all this easier to get tbh lol
