It's a good mechansim for Sony to interact with PSN users directly. The trick is to select your partners/advertisers carefully. If they allow sleezt advertisers to come in, then it may be problematic. If they only deal with reputed companies with attractive goodies, then it may not be so bad.


I wonder if we will get ads-sponsored (i.e., free) games in the future.

if it helps to keep PSN free without everything coming out of Sony's pocket I really don't care that it's there because I'm good at ignoring ads I will never click on it so it's just like it's not there.
